I'm about to break this disk!!!!
Okay so I'm sitting in a heroic strike with a couple random players one of which was way too low level for the mode. Regardless we slogged through reviving this knucklehead I don't know how many times just to finally finish the strike and guess who gets a legendary drop??!!!!! You guessed it! The cat who only got 15 kills total!!!! Okay rant over..
Should've bought digital.
I got my first exotic (Truth Rocket Launcher) in a Crucible match where I went .2 kdr (my excuse is that is the first time I had played the map or gametype - at least that is my story). Despite the lack of any functional party chat in the game, I could hear the other player's psychic screams from all corners of the earth.
Ive also gotten both of my crucible purples this way. Sometimes life just aint fair.
Thanks for the honesty on the k/d I havent hooked up with folks here thinking I would drag down with my sub 1 k/d so far in pvp. Do you have many legendary or and exotic weapons, I do not other than a rocket launcher is another Iron Banner concern.
Nah, don't let that drag you down. I dont' know any folks that take the game so seriously, they won't partner up with folks they don't know.
Im fully kitted in purples now with one exotic helmet and a rocket launcher. But I use blue weapons in crucible. Either the Silvered Hushwind AR (best AR I have found by far - better than Shingen or Galahad or Shadow Price) or the Suros JPS55 pulse rifle (again best pulse I have found by far - way better than my "Fair and Square" legendary).
I have only played Halo before and could keep a positive kdr. Never played any COD. 99% of the time I join crucible solo so I lone wolf alot. Coming to pvp in the game was a shock and I started out shitttily because of the much faster kill times. I had numerous games of sub .3 kdr. Im clawing my way back up though and should finally surpass the 1.0 kdr average this weekend.
Biggest lessons I have learned so far is to start shooting BEFORE you walk around a corner, because that extra half second is all you need in this game. Second is if you see a red blip on your radar quickly moving toward a large group of you - immediately jump because the only reason someone will do that is they are about to use a super on all of you.
Oh, and a group of us that I would consider reasonably competant at pvp got horrendously curbstomped in Iron Banner last night 3 games in a row. It wasnt even close. There was at least one game where not one of us went positive. Its far harder than normal crucible. That is when I made the suggestion of "Lets go do something easier - like the Raid." I dont think I will be going back to Iron Banner any time soon.
If people here haven't seen your latest iteration of Titan armor, they're missing out. The Greek looking helmet is sweet.
I did, like, a dozen games of Iron Banner yesterday.
That's just how the game works. It rewards mediocrity.
... I'll give you two guys, a friendly piece of advise, ok? Don't ever go up to the RNG, ok? Always walk up to the counter. You know why? Ok, ok, ok, ok. They fuck you at the RNG, ok? They fuck you at the RNG. They know you gonna be miles away before you find out you got fucked, ok? They know you're not gonna turn around and go back. So, they don't care. Who that's fucked? Oh, Leo Getz. Ok, sure. I don't give a fuck. I'm not wearing this fucking blue, ok?
Ha thanks Leo!
In all of my time spent in Destiny so far I have yet to see any exotic drops - not just for me, but for any of the people I'm playing with in the game. The only exotic I have is from a bounty and hope to get my second exotic bounty completed this weekend once I get to see Xur.
I mean, I don't expect exotic and legendary loot to drop all the time, but come on - I've clocked 82 hours into this game, so it's not like I'm not playing.
Oh well, the grind is real!
Going on a week without a legendary drop here, getting very frustrating. Every one I got before that got decrypted into a blue item as well, RNG is a cruel mistress to me. The only way I have legendary or exotic gear is from purchasing them or the queen's missions, except for my boots. Ugh.
Luckily the game is still very fun, just getting antsy for my next good drop.
Well, if Bungie wants players like me to try out Iron Banner, they'll bave to treat me. Getting nothing and always being last, don't add up.
I don't understand what Bungie is up to. Reach's Arena proved these kinds of playlists are poorly populated. The high quit rate I've been reading about don't surprise me at all either.
I was on a losing team and was awarded a strange coin. Well worth hanging in the game.
Also, crucible bounties are fullfilled in the Iron Banner. So grab the bounties for playing 5 control games and capturing 10 zones and try it out.
No, MM in Destiny will only fly for me when Bungie adds Customs. I'd bet my last dollar it will come out just after Christmas.
why are you always last? If that's the case, maybe you suck at PvP? No offense, but just ignore it if you're not good at it. I only played one game and I went 18-3.
