LOL, Sherb, of that group, Fujimi would kick my ass, not you guys, hehe. But I'm game. If it's low class I might survive it. I like the Cortina there downhill.
We had a blast w/ I think C class Detroit iron. My supercharged 57 T-bird against Jones' 57 Chev. I kept him honest for about half a lap, before I bobbled and he checked out.
I do need to throw FM4 in again sometime soon though. It's been awhile.
Yeah. I'm going to stick to stuff where everyone's not clawing for that extra point towards the series final. It seems to bring out similarities to open lobby racing at times.
Randoms, track nights, it's where I have my best times anyway.
I had enough of series racing towards the end of Forza 3 and I'm in no itching hurry to start back up. Restarts, cautions, and lobby instability are problematic with lengthy races, and inevitably the chosen car is some piece of fucking shit with minimal upgrades...except maybe the Lotus 124: that was actually a good car and a decent series, but I ain't about to commit to race around for weeks in a Mini or Volvo to fight over a title that I care nothing about. I'm not trying to belittle those races or any of the participants...it's just not my thing. I'm a fan of the casual side of racing and if I'm in a mood to do something serious...I'll hit the leaderboard. But I've participated in enough series races to discover that I'm far too easily annoyed to enjoy it.

Sarcasmo...I Couldn't Have Said It Any Better...Plus Compatibility Issues with $500+ Wheels...$200+ Headsets...$$$+ Wheel Stands...$$$+ Pedals...CONSTANT Live Issues.....Might Be Close To Retirement...Maybe...
I love soccer, Drivebye and Shrimp were doing it semi regularly, but I haven't seen one lately.
I DO need to do some online "all those other games" stuff to get a few more achievements. Tag/Virus/etc. I think it's like 10 of each online, for each badge. But who knows if that'll ever happen? Haven't done 10 online drift races either, No perfect drift score, there's a few hanging out there. A couple of those 1000 mile ones too. Yeeeesh.
4pm est ish most afternoons and randomly until 10pm at the latest (hopefully) Weekends completely unpredictable. Saturday mornings sometimes. Friday and Saturday nights, again, sometimes. Weekends are increasingly dependent on whether people come by or not.
Hard to pin anything down. I do random lobby's when I'm on AND there isn't a series running, maybe I'll do some of these in the lobbies.
Parcells agrees with Sarcasmo’s sentiments but not with his choice of cars. Speaking as one who “doesn’t care about winning, I just want to race” some of the very best races I’ve had over the years are in Mini’s in both Forza and GT5. Fact of the matter is slower cars make for tighter racing.
Parcels, none of this is about the cars...I've had fun in F class 40 Fords, and lately I've been having a blast inall the upper stuff, all of it. It's more about who's on the track with you and how the general behavior/mood is.
If I wanted to run on a track where all it's about is being first, I can go back to the public's, there's no difference.
I actually would disagree. It seems more bumping and aggressive driving takes place in the random lobbies as its a short race and there is nothing at stake. I think it gets overlooked as there are no cautions so it "seems" like its better than in the series races. In the series events, I think people seem to try a bit harder to race cleaner. my opinion though.
I was in the lead, on ONLY the beginning of lap 2 of a 30 minute race, and I saw someone 6 or so cars back roll thier car in the middle of the chicane and "I" called caution. ( If anyone can tell me how my calling a caution was some ploy to win the race, please enlighten me, I don't see it).
It's really early, I don't know who caused what, or even who rolled, don't care, there's a lot of newer guys in the race, and that was gonna screw some ones race no matter who did it.
Five people pass me and I get yelled at that there's no caution because ONE, I didn't wreck so I can't call it, TWO he caused it himself, he's on his own. So, I say again, I was in a public lobby and all that mattered was winning, certainly not the guy flopping around upside down on the track.
Turned my stomach and I left.
Back to randoms and fun, screw series/points/spreadsheets.
Shit happens in a series I agree. I have been the victim many times and have caused stuff too. What I DO like about the series races is the competition level. Not so much a win for me(i'd loveit) but the feeling of running well with fellow drivers that I look up too. You'll have stuck with me "growing" in forza and learning in the series events have been a big part of it. I dont get any trophies or real monies, but a sense of accomplishment amongst a very talented peer group.
I dont know if it makes sense but thats me. But if you quit series races OldSchool, I'll hardly ever get to run against you!!!
I do get what your saying oldschool though. Maybe there should have been a caution as it was the second lap and it was the right thing todo so It did not spoil my enjoyment for the evening.
Oldschool you should get down from that high horse your on before you fall and hurt yourself. If your stomach gets turned that easily may I suggest a visit to the doctor it may be the start of an ulcer.

2nd That FITZY !!!!!
I guess that it's easy to criticize a man that has reached his limit and chooses to express it. He left the race and told his side of the story here...seems like a relatively mild reaction compared to what I have done after a similar incident. I once sandbagged a lap during a BTCC race so I could wreck Basher as he lapped me because he wrecked me earlier in the race, I have built cars specifically tuned to knock other cars off of the track in reciprocity for previous contact, and if you have the audacity to try and push my fucking car down a straight, not only will I hit both the brake and e-brake, but I will pit your ass when you pass me...and possibly T-Bone you on the next curve. Forza is generally played by competitive types with a passion for the game, but by all means criticize another racer for displaying a little anger, but only if you have never gotten angry, discouraged, or fed up with your fellow racers...otherwise, that criticism lacks credibility, and is best served by being disregarded.
Fitzy...Look in the Mirror..He Never used to be like that with us Yanks..After Euro's Capitulated and accepted him into your club he turned Pussy!! Instead of retaliation like Mr. Jones stated....He Now Whines!!!...WAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!
OS,
Me, you, Jones, Fujimi, vintage..gif)

No, we would also kick your ass...not that I care about winning. I'll fax over the rules later...make sure you have plenty of paper in the machine.
Jones, you can't kick my ass if the track already did. Sorry.
Fax machines broken and out to lunch. Not replacing it.

I do better at Road America, Sebring, Road Atlanta, Hockenhiem. Too many rails at Fuji, but I have improved there a bit.
I do have a nice old Ford though.
I just wanna race cause I cant win!!

I need to hop in and horse around. What times are you usually on?
And I need to remember how to turn on my x360..gif)
