I saw this on FB and figured I would share the details..
Per Battlelog: January Premium Competition: Be the best team player you can be!
During 72 hours, we will monitor who can accumulate the most team play score. Be one of the top 5 on your format to win a limited edition, signed and numbered lithograph featuring artwork from Battlefield 3. The score awarded for these in the competition are the same as in any normal game of Battlefield 3.
The only eligible team score actions for the sake of this competition are:
· Revives
· Savior kills
· Heals
· Ammo resupplies
· Spot assists
· Squad attack orders
· Squad defend orders
· Repairs
There are specific servers set up to play on and you have to be a Premium member (filter servers for “January Premium Competition”) (password: jancomp).
Might not be a bad 72 hour competition starting tomorrow at 7pm EST.
I can just see it now......
Two supports sitting in a corner for 72 hours, firing against the wall and laying down ammo packs for each other. Maybe I'll log on tonight just to stab them in the eyes.gif "52")
I hopped on to check this out, and that's exactly what I found. Maybe I just happened to find "the" room, but nobody on my team ever left spawn. They were all support sitting in a little cluster and feeding each other ammo. It's not even like the prize is all that cool. Maybe if it was for a signed console or even a controller. But just for a damn picture? I think I'm good.
see i had a different expirence last night... both myself and Comptexua played on a server for a bit and it was complete chaos! IMO this was because 1.) core mode & 2.) everyone is reviving people.
Core mode is straight up booty! You shouldnt be able to put 4-5 shots in a guy for him to then turn around (while being shot) and kill you. SHOULDNT HAPPEN!!! What was further annoying is the n00bs that will stand right behind you and shoot through you to hit the same guy you are shooting.
We played for 3-4 maps and had to quit. Way to many annoying issues to play on core mode..

whats worse - i just looked at my accruacy for both core and hardcore.. core mode accuracy around 11-15%, hardcore accuracy 25-33%.
hmmmm.. let me guess which one i should play more?

this is really the only time i bitched about core - I just wont play it. But when they did this Premium event competition, you would think it might have some hardcore mode. And if they are worried about cheating, then it sounds like they need some better quality control to me.
.. Have you played hardcore Yem? And you notice no difference?

lol.. its cool. I played core for a bit, but then I found the way of hardcore and wont ever go back!
Its all the same to me anymore..The only real difference that I see in the two modes is 3D spotting... I enjoy both equally...gif "44")
