Bungie update might have talked about raid gear. I still need to do VOG....would much rather have raid gear from VOG prior to attempting Crotas than gong with what I have right now.

As Darth Tabasco said, you can buy vanguard armor and weapons better than big raid gear now.

Bungie didn't mention it was updating the VoG gear. I guess the only way to know is to run it and find out. Granted, that would mean somebody would have to actually be lucky enough to get an armor drop...lol
I don't have any plans to run the Crota's raid for a while. At least not until I can get to 31. Oh and I guess I need to buy the expansion - that might be good too.
Really? I'm not trying too be argumentative or contrary here, but if there is no grind, why keep playing? All the new gear takes you to higher and higher levels and capabilities.
I'm seriously asking, would you prefer too just max out the gear you have, and stay at level 29/30 for the reminder of the game and all the dlc?
They could have come out with new strikes, new raids, added more planets ect. Why render our weapons and armor useless just to go into grind mode again.
This expansion also doesnt address those of us who cant get into the Raids and are unable to get the Raid gear, its just going to be more of the same.
On content, I definately agree. I was expecting another planet worth of missions and more strikes. I didn't think much of the PlayStation bonus before the game launched, but if love to have even 2 more strikes now!
On a side note I purchased boots for my Titan so I'll be a 30 soon enough and then a 31 when I can upgrade my Exotic chest piece and purchase my helmet, and gloves. It just pisses me off that I purchased that chest armor-long coat for my Warlock on Saturday when if I'd waited until today I'd be 6 light points and 65 Vanguard marks ahead.
Yeah, I did the first three Eris quest missions/bounties and was the recipient of a legendary Fusion rifle, called Murmur. It has base damage of 272 and will upgrade to 340 I think. You can switch this one between arc and solar damage on the fly. Good news I think that everyone who completes those missions will get one as well. Was watching some raid action on twitch tv and the raid looks very, very challenging.

We decided to call that new gun the "Yoo Hoo" gun. It makes a musical sound when charging/discharging. Sounds a bit like "Yoo Hoo".
Got the Murmer as well. Need to get this thing leveled up pronto so it dishes out more damage. I plan on moving it from one character to another as I go thru the 3 story missions and bounties. Sort of like killing two birds with one stone.
Got 2 Murmurs... Just wish I liked fusion rifles more... Daughter and I did the weekly on 28 last night. Was tough. She is a 29 and I a new 30. Sunsinger prevented a wipe on more than one occasion. The new Eris bounties prepare you to deal with (let you know what's coming with) the hordes of thralls/Wizards/Knights. I suspect that's why the weekly/nightfall don't open till you've done the bounties.
So the Vanguard and Crucible vendors have new weapons and armor. The Faction guys DO NOT though. Strange.
There is a Crucible AR and Pulse Rifle that both look rockyoface good. Of couse, I finally got "The Conduit" pulse rifle from FWC reward package last night. Ive been grinding all three toons on that faction trying to get it and it finally gets rewarded the first day of the expansion - the day it is obsolete. Typical.
Hello Everyone, if you are curious about the new raid, then head over to you tube and look up Datto does destiny. There are three Crotas raid videos that will take you about 45 minutes to watch. The raid looks absolutely brutal! Better carve out 4+ hours..lol. Anyways, I'm not even close to trying this one. Good news I've got the commendation and can now buy all light level 33 armor...bad news is I need a bunch more crucible currency..lol

I got a new Legendary MG for free.
Some new boots came out of nowhere.
Bought a new helmet from the Titan mentor. My old Queens helmet vaporized for some strange reason.
All from playing a few hours.
BTW, play the new stories on 30. You won't be disappointed. Unless you don't like losing.

Did you solo them, Deep? I started the 3rd story at 26, but left to do Over 50 on MCC.
I really enjoy the expansion a lot. Tons of bad guys!
I am 99% sure everyone gets it as a reward later in the chain.
Can confirm, the Murmur is *awesome*, can't wait to level it up.
Will be trying to do VoG sometime this week if anyone is interested, I've only ran it once and still want a shot at some of the gear, just for kicks.

In this crowd too. Need a regular raid group. Available after 9:30pm central Sun - Thu. Fri and Sat I sometimes get on after 10:30pm.
