MCC update and apology 11/24

Rumors of compensation may not have been over exaggerated, but we'll see if it comes to fruition.
I'm glad they are working constantly on fixes and communicating, and as I expected problems had to do with external partners as well.
Anyone care to speculate on what any potential compensation may be?
$20 rebate in the form of XBL credits.
Reduced price for Halo 5.
Bunch of stupid armour/weapon unlocks in Halo 5.
Free tour of 343i, if you can get to Seattle.
They should do something (once it's fixed) to bring the players back to the game. Like complete three matchmaking games the first weekend after it's fixed and get 20% of Halo 5, or something like that.
To me, the biggest slap in the face is the irreparable damage this has done to the population, not just that the game is broken per se. If the biggest problem were the broken game itself, then fixing it would make it right. But since the population is the bigger problem, they need to do something for that, beyond just fixing the game.
I'll take Xbox Live credit and an extended Halo 5 beta. The latter would especially help with PR after the connection issues on MCC too. Win/Win.
"Potential compensation"? Whew! Thanks for the laugh this morning DEEP. I needed that!
343 and Microsoft should step-up in an effort to save their flagship game and offer some meaningful gesture, but I just don't see it happening.
This right here is the reason I'm on the verge of getting a refund. I feel like letting them keep my $60 is tantamount to saying that this is all perfectly okay and they can feel free to pull a similar stunt with future games. I feel completely taken advantage of, like they rushed out a pre-alpha product in order to drive Xbox One sales for Christmas, and I fell for it and now they have my $400.
343i tours might needlessly endanger the staff. fans are really pissed about this.
[Rant] I know I'd like to roshambo a 343 employee, only seems fair for the 60 dollars they Fraudulently convinced me to render for services not yet recieved. Better Yet I'd like the End user agreement printed out so that we may roll it up and beat them with it like a misbehaving Dog.[/end Rant]
"On the matchmaking front, we have encountered unexpected issues that were not apparent in our internal test environment and that have resulted in a frustrating experience, including long matchmaking times and low session success rates"
I remember Bungie encouraging as many people as possible to play the Destiny Beta during its final days. I assume they were doing this on purpose to see if it would break -- which it did, as I recall. And I also assume they used what they learned to modify the game before the final release. Smart strategy, I think.
I refuse to believe that the game is a POS because of issues that only came up with XBL. The entire game is filled with typos and other bugs and glitches that have nothing to do with online play. When the entire product seems half-assed, it's not very convincing to say that everything was perfectly fine until people tried to play matchmaking.
I'm with you Tristan. I've played enough of MCC to know once fixed it's going to be amazing.
If 343 does deside to gift us something I do hope it's a free map or 2.
