No GT Style rim for the CSR Elite wheel
No GT Style rim for the CSR Elite wheel
Thomas just announced the new F1 rim for the CSR Elite wheel on his blog the other day. In the same announcement he said there will be no other rims made for the CSR Elite.
Here is the quote: "It is the only additional wheel rim planned for the CSR Elite at this point. We will now fully concentrate to make additional wheel rims for the ClubSport wheel."

What this means is if you want a nice GT Style rim for your CSR Elite wheel, too bad, we are screwed and stuck with the cheap ass flimsy rim that came with the wheel. This is very dissappointing news. I have been waiting ever since I got my wheel to replace the rim with one that is of the same quality as the base. I was really excited when Thomas showed the way the rims can be removed and replaced with different ones. And now he says the F1 is the only one. Not a good move.
If you own a CSR Elite or are planning to buy one and would like to see a better GT Style rim for it, please go to the link above and let Thomas know. Maybe if enough of us ask for it, he will change his mind.

Just to reiterate what I said in the other thread... That is all they have been doing since the CSW was announced. A new base wasn't redeveloped. The egineered a quick release hub and the two new rims. They then stuck it on an Elite base with different colored sides and one button on the face instead of 2.
It's a crap way of doing business, I don't care if they are in it to make money or not. They'd have still made a boatload of money by simply offering those wheels for use with the Elite wheel and selling them as upgrades.
I hope you guys get your way and get the rim you want. There's no reason you cant.
Oh sorry, one thing I left out... The Elite base is slightly different, it can connect to the xbox.
Again, make one wheel, the Elite. Make different rims for it. Make folks happier to spend their hard earned cash on your stuff.
I posted a note on Thomas' blog.
on a positive note... the CSR-E is now $60 cheaper.
