No Heavy Weapons Ammo Perks
While in the Vault recently, someone mentioned how it sucked to lose rocket ammo on respawn after a team wipe. I've thought the same thing for a long time. Maddening to lose the ammo, especially right after a synthesis... Always thought it was just the heavy price of death... Then, others on the raid said it was the armor/extra heavy ammo perks that cause it.
Apparently, it's the "heavy ammo" perks that different pieces of armor have that cause the loss of ammo on respawn.
With my Warlock and the way he was equipped with the perks, he could carry 8 rockets for the Hezen Vengeance (9 before an update a while back). But, he'd lose two or more rockets at every respawn. It works out most times that he has more rockets to actually use while in a raid when not using the perks.
So, for raids, I'll not use the perks. But, for strikes or missions where I don't expect to need a respawn, I'll use the perks.
Unfortunately this is a bug that is known and talked about by Bungie. Yes, it's on their list of things to fix but apparently isn't a high priority.
Was wondering (and grumbling) about that. Good to know. Thanks for pointing this out.
Also when you go through a portal (Black Garden) or just change locations via your ship you loose ammo.

The last few nights, at times, there is a lack of primary ammo drops.
Someone told me they thought the dlc added a soft juggler effect. Anyone else encounter this?
