I pretended to go...actually you night owls are too late for me and of course I'm just too young, especially when Deep talks to me like I was alive in the '60's....the 1860's.
Small crowd of 8 this week. No surprise since Iron Banner just started.
I would have kept playing but my internet went down. I'll try to get on tonight though Tues is the worst possible night for me due to work. It's the only night anyone plays though.
A couple of gameplay thoughts- How about using the BR a little more often depending on the map size? This could help make the game seem rather than just increasing the walk speed. Less Halo 3? It seems to have the worst hit detection to me. Just my personal preferences but I will be down to play whatever.
Are you guys doing this every Tuesday or just the third of each month?
The Over 50 group plays every Tues night starting at 9 Eastern. MCC at the moment.
You're remembering the the Over 40 tournament which occured the third Tues of the month. That has been on hold since last Nov. Maybe it can be restarted with Halo 5.
16 people filled the party at one point. Enough to keep this event going.
There were issues for individuals and at least one full out game resetting crash after we lost our host.. I also learned not to look at Settings during a game.
Live tried to stop us but once we figured out the syncing issue could be skipped, it was game on. Unfortunately, the workaround was difficult to get out to people.
There's room for people not up to the 50 mark. Just be ready to jump if we need spots.
I chose to host only Halo 3, BR starts, 110% movement and never reused a map. I believe the continuity helps people's acclimation and enjoyment.
Next week, perhaps we can do something similar for Halo 2.
Yeah good times. Can't believe I won a race game. I usually just get frustrated due to falling off the map over and over again. The "themed" Halo night is cool. I will hate Halo 3 night always though.
16 members for most of the night. Pretty smooth and lots of fun. A few close fought games too.
We played Halo 4 with the exception of two HA games.
Personally, I like Halo 4 the best but delving into the old games and maps help to plug that gaping nostalgia hole.
10 more trips to the trough for MCC for me on Over age 50 night. After that, for better or worse, I will be found on Halo 5 until its true value becomes known.
Everyone needs to remember to set up their Halo 4 load outs. Keep in mind you might want to make a few so you can choose based on the game type we're playing. Also, You can have the same button scheme on all 4 games if you choose a universal layout and check to use in all games. I overheard a few people saying they didn't know which button did what when we switched games.
Party was at 15 most of the night. Thanks go to CHA0S Qc for party lead and everyone that showed up. :)
I suck at old Halo. Worse than ever, pre-Destiny. I am hanging on by my fingernails waiting for Halo 5. I hope switching between Halo 5 and Destiny will be a bit more manageable.
I forged a donut map on Forge World. However, I can't guarantee that it's exactly the same as what you guys used to play in Halo 4. I only played one game on that map and it was quite a while ago. I looked in Deep's H4 file share and saw 2 maps there (Stonehenge and Anvilhenge), but no donut map unfortunately. So, I just worked from memory and tried to make a donut map that is something similar.
The map is Donut Derby" and the game type is "Seek and Secure" if I remember correctly. I forget the base map that it's derived from, but I know it isn't forge Island. I believe its from Settler. I'll re-post if I find out for sure.
I moved the man cannons into the corners a bit further on "Donut Derby!!" so that should prevent players from being blown off the map at spawn. I added a 2nd exclamation mark to the map name since this is the 2nd version. :)
Good to hear. I was out too late and too tired to join.
A few rough patches tonight. I wonder if the new update was the culprit.
Ended pretty good with lots of Halo 3 goodness.
Awesome!
Hey, things went pretty good tonight. Good crowd.

OK, if I get back from dinner out tomorrow I may try and pop in. I am of advanced age now so I'd be accepted, lol

I do miss the over 40. I'll be on in a little over 2 years...assuming I don't develop a bladder control problem.
Does that mean you'll forego the 40+ tourney? :D
8-10 out for the adventure.

Good numbers this week as we played H2A. Maybe 14?
We stuck with H2A and added in some racing and flag maps from Kenjamin.
Next week I 'may' choose H2 classic and role through as many maps as we can in two hours.

Another well populated night and lots of fun I think. All Halo 2 Classic. Different map each game.
Sure would be nice if the roster worked. For those who don't know, the only way to join or invite for games is via the XBLive FL. Painfull.
I don't start hosting until 9 Eastern. I try to set most games to 10 min so friends don't have to wait to long too play.

Just found my way back to this site. Wow, it looks a lot different!
Good idea for all players to set up loadouts for Halo 4 like Assassin_45 said since we sometimes play Infinity Slayer.
Also, I like to use Universal Zoom & Shoot for Halo MCC which is the same as the Call of Duty button layout. I posted a thread about that earlier.
Another good turnout and with no game related issues.
Thanks go to Free Radical for fielding an H2A remake of his much loved Halo 4 UT Dedication map. It worked quite well.
Next week I plan on pushing Halo 3 a bit.
Sorry I didn't make it last night. Was suffering a bit from the Irish flu.
Full house again! Mostly over 50 too. Woo hoo!
Apologies to the members who didn't get a seat.
Thanks go to BC Cyclops for hosting. Good game types too. :)

Thanks a bunch! Looking forward to the sugar rush once again!
Another good evening on the range. 14 were in for most of the 2 hours.
Thanks go to BCyclops for remaking an excellent replica of Donut Derby (Spying Scissors creation).
35 days to Halo 5.
