OK, so here's my problem(s)...

There is a racing school for new drivers that would be a big help here. Jcotter runs the USA school and if there is any EU guys that need help just give me a shot as tourni is on a brake.

Although the best way to learn how to driver is just to race against people. The more seat time you have the better.

Just join in on events or events that don't have points.

A good start is the track night on Wednesday nights. It starts at 8:00pm GMT. There is no points and almost anything goes.

I use it to test new cars, others to see how fast you can do a lap in reverse or to just race with people.

Don't worry about tuning our painting for a while as you just need to ask on here and you will receive, just concentrate on the racing first.

Send me an fr and I will send you some tunes and cars tonight. They will be good cars for a range of classes.

Not to worry Gunny !!!   There is a learning curve.    But most of the racers here understand that and don't mind some fender rubbing and an pit manuever here and there.   I don't know were you got the idea that there are serious racers here...hehehe.

As far as painting and tuning...you can get anything you want or need from the great people here !!    I don't tune or paint either...at least not much and I never been short of what I need to race and have my cars look good too.  Use the 2O4F active tag and send f/r out often....once you build up a group of forza friends,  you can usually just jump in a lobby and have some fun anytime.  Send me a F/R and I'll be happy to run some laps with ya and answer any questions I can.

BTW, even on the hardest difficulty, ai drivers are idiots. they brake way to early & will cut you of mid corner. Mow them out of the way, get your win 7 the money that goes with it, then worry about really learning how to race via school sessions or just running with the group. As far as tunnig & painting, I wouldn't worry too much about wither one for now. try some other peoples cars & figure out what kind of feel you like in a car. Besides, tuning is pointless until you know how to drive properly anyway.

don't be afraid to join in mp just because you're new. Folks are very tolerant of new guys here 7 you'll robably learn more in one session with the group that you would in a week of racing on your own.

Personally, I think the porchse was a bit close on the defensive some times. But in his shoes, i'd do the same.

Try to forget everything you experience racing against AI and I wouldn’t be overly concerned about pissing off the “serious” drivers…they’re usually the ones that think going three wide into turn one is a reasonable idea, which it isn’t.

Yes agreed. AI is CRAP. Start racing with us. Lobbies are open every day/night. Just start adding the 204F guys to your friends list.

You get used to running against other guys. And in a spec series like the Escort it's a little bit easier because everyone is in the same car so there are fewer WTF manuevers. An example: That Escort can drive DEEEEEP into the corner and if on track with other cars your going to do some bumper bombing if your not careful. When they are all the same you solve some of those issues.

This is the one place where you are encouraged to drink & drive.

We also encourage smoking & driving too.

Swearing, Shenanigans and Lame Ass Jokes are a standard round here for some. You will fit right in!
