Problems logging in?

Does anybody else have problems playing Destiny on the XB1? I always seem to have problems logging in, the game never passing the black loading screen with the small icon in the lower-right hand corner and just general problems trying to play this game. My brother is experiencing similar issues. It usually takes us multiple "shut XB! off/Turn On" cycles to get lucky enough that it will work. Kind of depressing when you want to log on quick to play a few missions or strikes...

Do you do a full shut down or just the sleep shut down?

I was having probs until I just fully shut down each time when done playing versus sleep shut down.

I think that may be the issue. I have only gotten my XB1 about a week ago and I didn't know how to "shut off games" so on Destiny I would always get the "we logged you out" message. I finally found out how to turn off games by selecting the picture screen on Xbox Home and hitting the menu button on controller and going to log off. It always made me upset that you cant "log off" in game...only switch profile or character but now I guess I know how to.

It is kinda annoying in destiny because its online, but I like this feature in single player stuff.  Turning on the xbox and going back to the exact spot you were at in dragon age or metro with no loading required is pretty cool.

To end games on the XB1, tap the dashboard button, press the equivalent of the start button, then scroll down to quit the game.

You can always log out of the game from the in game menu as well. Just tab over twice.

On the PS4 (cough cough) I find that if I have been on sleep mode to charge my headset, if Destiny does an update then every time I have to shutdown the console for it to play properly.

I always leave mine in sleep mode to charge my controller and headset, never have issues.

I've owned an XB1 for nearly a year, now. Sometimes I have problems starting up Destiny on XB1, sometimes I don't. If I am starting up Destiny and get no sound, I tap the center controller button to get to the Home Screen. Then I tap A to return to the full screen of Destiny. Usually the sound is then restored.

If Destiny is taking too long to load (or if any other number of non-Destiny related XB1 problems are occuring), I put the XB1 in sleep mode, unplug it, wait about 10 seconds, plug it back in, and start it back up. I generally have re-establish my network (wireless) connection. I know the method of shutting down by holding the XB1 console button for 30 seconds is supposed to be the equivalent of unplugging it, but occasionally that method hasn't resolved the problem. Sleep-shutting and then unplugging XB1 seems to solve almost all my XB1 problems (much as I actually don't like unplugging- and replugging)

This is the main reason I got ride of my Xbone. I shouldn't have to hard reset several times a week if not a day for it to work correctly.
