Project CARS Steam players ....
Would like to start a Steam night Project CARS gathering . As for getting this setup , I can try . Don't have much expereince getting something organized but maybe you fine gentleman "TEE HEE!" can help me get this going . My limits are , I always win ! No seriously my limits are Eastern time between 8pm -10pm on weekdays and 6pm -? on Saturdays . Open to any ideas at first just fun races once us noobs get the hang of this game ,"many fingers pointing to me!" we can gradually start some series. Let me know who's interested an will go from there . Thank you for your support.
A message from the fine group of 2old4Forza .
Ink out !
We can make a poll to see what times members would be available and go from there. If there's to much of a time issue during the weekday we could just plan it for the weekend. Or just try for one day as a practice run.. I still need to find away to do ingame chat during game play.
I don't think there is any in game chat is there? I checked it out and I think I will get a teamspeak server setup for us to use. For those that have never used it teamspeak is basically a voice chat program you run in the background so you can talk to everyone. Nice thing is that you don't have to be in the same game with everyone, you can just login and use it while your online.
Anyways for a 25 slot server its like $40 every six months.
I'm good to go any day but thurs night. I have used teamspeak.
I can only race on Sunday, Monday or Tuesday at those hours.
Guys, is anyone going to be on late tonight (Saturday). I will probably be on after 10pm and stay on for at least a couple of hours. I can set up a private lobby and we can race whatever you guys like. If there are only a couple of us I can just set it to public OR fill the field with AI (set to a reasonable difficulty level). Let me know because I will be on either way.
Andrew and I had a blast with the formula rookie. Nice car.
Yea my schedule has been hell this weekend, both sons have a swim meet so busy playing the swim taxi dad.
Some good racing last night on the PC.
Yes that was fun, public lobbies are a bit of gong show but iam just trying to get more clean racers to possibly join this community. Having private lobbies doesnt attract anyone :) once a vote to kick or player rating is implimented it will be easier to police the lobbies and kick the crashers.
If any of you are night workers like my self i strongly advise going race department and jumping in there daily races as they cover ever sim available with clean racing.
I did a 14 lap race at Brono in the clios today and it was absolutely epic! The weather in this game puts it on a whole new level....practice started with some light fog and got heavier as it went on and carried into the start of quali than light drizzle which turned to heavy rain, causing everyone to pit and change to wets, with about 5 mins left it started to let up and a drying line started to form causing those on rains to start over heating and lap times fall off. A few picked this up and pitted again for intermediates :)
The race started with a damp track with light rain in the forecast some decided to start on wets other slicks, which made for an interesting race....the light rain never accumulated enough on the driving line to make the wets effective enough luckly i chanced it and went with slicks at the start and battled from 8th up to 4th and had some great battles with the local club aliens :)
they usually draw 20+ drivers per race todays had 26 i believe. The majority of races depending on sim start at around noon mt which would be 2pm est
Not trying to lure anyone from this club, ive just learnt from experience over the past 4 yrs of racing on pc it can be a lonely place after racing here for so many yrs :)
I just thought it would be fun to run with a few guys from here as sometimes they run special events and leagues where you can enter a team.
I am also on Steam and would be up for some racing. Finnally got FFB were I like it now going to tune. What cars are you guys looking at? Jim
Is this still a possibility?
