Never been a big Halo MP fan but seem to be getting into it for 4. What happened to the SMG? I remember dual weilding sucked bigtime but it seems like it would be a better weapon than the AR does now.
The AR seems more powerful than previous versions, but that may just be my perception of it. With that said, a BR or DMR is a better choice. The AR just has no distance to it. Just grab the SAW when that pops up. That thing is evil.

It's not just you. I hear people (mostly O lol) bitch about how ridiculous the AR is. Up close, it requires zero skill. Spray and kill.
Yeah i love the SAW. I need to level up to get the perk that gives you more ordie drop options. I actually get upset when it's not in my drop options...

Dual weilding needlers, dual weilding plasma pistol + Pistol, Needler + Plasma pistol. And what was awesome was that your reticle changed with every combo.

Single SMG was good if you didn't hold the trigger down. Two of them were unbeatable :)

The new AR is nasty up close. If you are fighting in the trees on Abandon, it's the best weapon IMHO.
Well, except for the SAW, which is the best weapon period. ;)
AR is completely beast up close. It's silly on some maps NOT to run with it.
