..just go to your Halo 4 Stat overview and scroll down. Every playlist is there including Castle Map pack. I'm a 12 in Infinity Slayer so I hope it doesn't rank up to fast.
*To receive avatar item, you must play Halo 4 standard edition and achieve a CSR rank of 35 or higher on the Castle Team DLC Playlist while connected to Xbox LIVE, any time between April 8 2013, 2AM PST and April 22 2013, 2 AM PST.
I think you are all forgetting this is supposed to be skill based, not experience. 95% of the population is not going to hit 45 much less 50. Hitting XX number after a certain number of games, no problemo. Working as designed.
People seem to think they deserve a certain rank based on who they play or play with. The system isn't perfect, but if it works anything like H3 did, then it should be fine. The goal then, as it seems to be now as well, is to match you up against players of similar skill to give you the best possible match. Close games are supposed to be fun and invigorating, that's what Trueskill and now CSR are trying to do.
Still think it should be visible: otherwise, it's like it's not even been implemented.
I hit 21 in Swat in 3 games, having a k/d of a shit ton. This CSR is a joke, if I did what I did in H3 I would barely be breaking 10.
Which is funny, because I fired up two games of snipers this afternoon, just to test it out, and I hit level 2. Well, more replayability for me, apparently.

i don't see hitting 21 in 3 games as being that big of a deal. Think about it - you played 3 great games on a systems where everyone is starting from zero. Of course you are going to shoot to the top. As time goes on you should start to get matched up with people who are also 21's and your play should be approximate to theirs. That's kind of the point I thought. And if you happen to dominate those other 21's your CSR will go up again until it balances eventually.
Plus comparing it to H3 is stupid. H3 had 4 times the population to average against. Of course it's going to seem slower in that scenario.
I really don't see what people are bitching about with this CSR system that has been in place for all of 30 hours.
I always play swat or snipers when I'm by myself. A jump to 21 and still no competition is pretty sad. The game with the lowest K/D was a JIP on abandon.
I'm so used to not playing higher ranks, I wonder what it's going to be like again. LOL

In Halo 3, it didn't even start getting difficult until the 40s, so it may be a minute.

SWAT wasn't a challenge until you hit 47. We will see.
I am also a little concerned that leveling up 21 spots in 3 games is way off. I don't care if he went 25-0 in all 3 games. That fast paced leveling is lame and for a lack of a better word broken.
To put it in perspectives Gaara and I played 4 games of doubles last night. 3 were legit (well not really) matches and one the other team quit. In those games the other team did not get more then 7 kills, total. In one game the other team got 1 kill. We ended up leveling to a 3.
I think Raider is correct in saying that over time things will even out and such. But that is pretty crazy.

I was a legitimate 50 in swat and high 40's in slayer. We shall see if this system is broken. I intend to play the shit out of their solo score lists and show how it is broken.

@ Lbsutke - It's not 'leveling up'. It's a ranking system in which the number is earned based on performance not some sort of experience point gain. Also, as someone else mentioned there is a difference between playlists that are based on individual performance and team performance. 343 has stated that the team ones will be much slower to earn ranks in than the individual ones.
@ Double T - I'm confused. If you were a legit 50 in Swat before, how is playing "the shit out of" it and getting back up to a 50 prove that it's broken?

Because, the fastest anyone hit 50 with boosters in H3 was 13 games. Doing so without a booster account took me 51 games. We will see how long this takes.
People have 50s in rumble pit already, so it shouldn't be too terrible. The statistical system is still building/sorting itself out so may as well strike while the iron's hot!
Just like Halo 3, CSR is one game behind. Played 2 more games of swat. Am now at least a 26, probably higher, as I couldn't get the CSR to update by just "searching" in swat, as you could with H3 ranks.
Pretty funny though, SWAT went way up, and snipers shows a 1 after one game, yet I went way positive in it as well. It's solo CSR as well right?
It seems pretty easy to rank up in. I only played 6 or 7 games of snipers and already I'm a 29.
No disrespect, but ranking up almost 30 levels after 7 games seems a little quick.
So...they didn't want you to see others ranks IN GAME but I can still see others ranks on waypoint. Way to fucking fail.
They said you can check other people ranks once its launched.
If you get a rank 25 in Castle Map pack in the next 2 weeks you get a free avatar T-shirt(I think).
um need to reach rank of 35

If it's been working behind the scenes up until now, it has done a shitty job.
I'd like to think there are (at least) two different strains of it in Halo 4, because it certainly feels that way.

Remember some playlist CSR ranks are based on INDIVIDUAL scoring and other playlists are based on TEAM scoring - aka Win/Loss.
The team scoring playlists are: Team Throwdown, Team Doubles, Team Objective, CTF, Dominion, Grifball and Castle DLC.
The other playlists are all based on individual performance, so you can lose the game, but still rank up if you have a good game.
Allow me to quote myself....gif)
I played 3 games of CTF, won them all, but only got a rank of 2.

Apparently, some folks have already hit 50 in Rumble Pit.
All this CSR talk is making me hungry.
Thanks Raider :) . I understand the difference, just used poor terminology...My bad.
Non the less, getting 20-35 ranks for 4-9 games played is CRAZY TALK.
But "hopefully" it finds its "mean" watermark and it makes more sense.
