Halo 2 remake, Halo 5, Halo Ultimate Classic, ect. whats your guess as to the next Halo game. Is it important for MS to have a Halo launch title for the 720? Your guesses and theories.
A high profile Halo game (not a remake) would drive new Xbox sales obviously. I guess what should be considered is time.
Is two years dedicated to a new title enough time to release it? My guess is yes.
Is it enough time for serious improvement in some of the missteps of Halo 4 while bringing fresh ideas that don't cause new mistakes? I don't think so. However, I'll hope for minor things that are easy fixes or tweaks here.
The general trilogy story would have been laid out already. We haven't heard much out of 343. They clearly wouldn't just be sitting around hosting weapon tuning streams for years. Microsoft would love to launch with a big hitting first part exclusive like that. Money isn't a concern here either. Just time and quality I'd say.
To be honest, I fully expect to hear about Halo 5 at E3 at the latest. They'd have a year and a half of time by then, plenty to have new things to show off. It isn't so close to launch of the new console that worries about missing release date or plagues of bugs would delay announcing it.
We'll see, but I can't really think of a critical reason why 343 wouldn't be able to announce Halo 5 for the console launch.
Halo 4 hasn't even been out a year. If 343 begins a yearly release like COD, then count me out. While I can understand the reasoning for Halo 5 launching with the release of the new Xbox, would 343 sacrifice gameplay for $$?
I really enjoyed Black Ops 2's campaign. Have yet to delve deeply into multiplayer...but it seems fun like usual :)
I really hope the reason they fucked up Halo 4's launch was due to H5 being a launch title....if that's the case though, I could've dealt with Reach until this holiday season :)
Well, how much more original and new can you get with a FPS? Not to be snarky here, but you'll be running around in maps you'll hate, you'll be cursing at faulty hitboxes and blame lag... All the while swearing that the weapon you use is the weapon you pwnall with...
Dunno man, but unless someone out there gets an awesome idea that totally changes the way we play FPS', it will just be another Halo.
Halo 4's campaign was what had me most excited and it didn't disappoint. While Cryptic's point on the multiplayer aspect isn't inaccurate, 343 did incredible things with the campaign and I can't wait for more.
I'm hoping and praying we do NOT hear about H5 this year or as a launch title. I feel like, given the current state of H4 and 343's steep learning curve, it's just too soon for H5. 343 is still trying to "fix" H4, to think they may have H5 waiting to be released this holiday along with the new console would be worrisome.
Now, I could see something along the lines of another ODST-type game. Perhaps even pull a Bungie and include a H4 multiplayer disc with some new maps too.

If those silly rumours are true then it could be something squad based like Spartan Ops plus new multiplayer. I'd welcome new multiplayer if it could get us over this current hump/dip.
Halo Wars 2! I know, Ensemble folded, and many people don't enjoy RTS's, but I personally loved that game.
I've been playing it again recently. Such a great game. Only issue I have is I wish you could do a FFA and have lopsided skirmeshes against the computer. For example, in Command and Conquer Red Alert 2, you could pit yourself against multiple computer opponents. So I'm bummed I can't do a 1v3, 2v3, 1v2, etc.
There's no way that 343 could release a new Halo game every year. Simply not possible. Even CoD has 2 studios alternating game releases year after year - Treyarch and Infinity Ward. My guess is that Halo 5 will come out in late 2014. However, I think Bungie has a game coming out later this year.

I'm sure they would have to work with Certain Infinity. I think Halo5 will be in 2014 also and maybe this year they may do an ODST type game.
If they can release an ODST type game this year, why couldn't they have released a Halo 5 instead?
I realize now the timeframe is much tighter than I thought before. I don't know how that means a game with a divergent story and such could fit in instead.
According to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DjUhK8rYJYM it will be Halo 5 and then Halo Pinball.
I read 343i deny any Halo remakes at this time.
