Spa F1 - booking for 2014 - recommendations

Anyone been.

Me and my best mate (best man) have decided to go Friday - Sunday next year. Going to drive over in the MR2 (spare wheel left at home :))and camp. Few beers etc.

Dates were published yesterday.

We are looking at Eau Rouge Gold 3 and 4, but I've read that experience can be patchy depending where in the stands you are and don't want to spend £350 if the view is crap. On the other hand if someone can identify block/row/seat numbers that are good and I can specify then OK.

Many reviews of the Bronze tickets are good, with the freedom to wander. Early mornings though.

Pit walk sounds chaos but awesome.

Anyone with experience? Any hidden gems in silver/gold? Advice for great Bronze viewing?

Interested in any info. We are totally pumped about this now we have made the decision.

Cheers

I've been. Sat in the grandstand on the outside of Eau Rouge. Got a perfect view of the corner and there was a huge screen opposite. Can't remember what the seat details were but will see if I can find out. Best memory is from after the race when they let you walk on the track - you really find out how steep Eau Rouge is when you're trying to walk up it!

Yeah, I heard the elevation has to be walked to be believed. Any details gratefully received. Do you remember if it was 3 or 4?

Pretty sure it was 4 from the map. I remember being just able to see the tops of the cars as they went into the bus stop chicane on the other side of the track from where we were. Our seat were about 2 thirds if the way up the stand. You can see the cars out of the turn one hairpin all the way down the hill and through Eau rouge, just going out of sight as they went over the top if the " summit"! I would go back in a second given the chance!
