Sunday BF3(Ghost Recon) Server
I've set up a BATTLEFIELD3 dedicated server for today/tonight, will be available until early Mon morning.
Server name: "XMG GHOST RECON".
Infantry-only hardcore team death match, no regenerating health, no HUD.
I'm thinking with some settings adjustments, BATTLEFIELD3 could make a good stab at emulating the gameplay feel of Ghost Recon1 on Xbox - slower pace on large open maps.
It's a ranked server, so you can progress your persistent character.
4 people needed to start a match (lowest setting there is).
Until there's 4 people on the server, you can freely run around the map and check it out. I doubt any publics will be on it.
FYI: If you don't have BF3, Best Buy is selling BATTLEFIELD3 PREMIUM EDITION (all expansion packs included) for $29.99 new. All mp content installed, I think it takes up roughly 15+GB of HDD space.
Hop on and give these settings a whirl.
If anyone's still interested in playing BF3 in this fashion, give me a holler.
Now that BF3 is patched up & cheap, private matches would be a nice change of pace from the current crop of shooters.
No more lag comp, host advantage, overuse of aim assist, spawn camping, revenge spawns, death falling out of the sky every 15 seconds, etc.
A regular Sunday night BF3(GR) event would be a good thing.

A bust; too short of a notice.
There sure are a lot of empty rented servers in BF3.
Most of your infantry-only servers are only running small maps, esp METRO.
Still, I'd like to find people who would like to play BF3 in this way; infantry-only deathmatch, no HUD, limited tickets.
I might continue to try this on Sun nights.

I'm part of the PPC, even if the majority of our members plays Halo4 and BLOPS these days, I'm pretty sure I can get those who play BF every night to join you. By the way we have a rented server, we should be able to use it if you want to.

As a casual minecraft player, I always assume people playing it are really focused on important stuff, like looking for these damned chickens that seem to have completely disappeared from my world....gif "71")
My 3 & 4 year olds dicovered that if they threw eggs on the ground (unlimited eggs, using creative mode) that a chicken would randomly come from an egg occasionally.
Now they make chicken houses.
...which they then blow up with TnT.

Kids are great but thank God they don't rule the world.
Just submitted my app to join PPC. Playing a lot of BF3 and I'm on just about every night CST. I'm up for any type of game. I make a good bullet sponge.
