And finally for tonight. These guys were very niche Gothic. The whole once upon a time in the west thing was very cool when I was 19/20. Some of it still sounds amazing and its worth a dig around.
Hey J, added a new pickgaurd to the Strat to personalize it and set it apart from the masses since it's such a standard color. Just spent a couple hours playing this afternoon (or rather attemping ). Spent a bit over an hour on Rocksmith, then another 45 minutes or so working on what I was practicing on Rocksmith hooked up to the amp and just general screwing around.
Very nice, I miss my old guitar. I haven't played a guitar since I was probably 10 or so. Long story. I had a Warlock and my step-dad had a Strat. I used to love the look of both guitars. But like I said long story, hes a dead beat and a loser, I no longer am able to play. Oh well, I still love the sound of a very well tuned and played guitar. Very nice Sherb!

No reason you can't pick one up again. I'm 37 and just now learning.....though my current "collection" is far better than I have any right to own. And on that note, I screwed up and walked into GC (Lynwood) on my way back from Tacoma (Lemay Museum). Sat down w/ a Les Paul Studio and started trying it out (w/ my current skill set, "screwing around" would probably be a better description). A little over an hour later, I realized I was in trouble. It was on sale, and they included a hard case. And I only went in to look at guitar stands/display racks..... Oh yeah...and I never made it to that side of the store.
How much would it run to own those bad boys? Arm, Leg, and an Ear?
the 1st 2 will probably never see the outside of the manufacturer's showroom after the NAMM show. The Mustaine may actually be somewhat reasonable price-wise. Although it's not my cup of tea. I can still appreciate the graphics on it.
I always preferred my basses to be understated and my hair overstated ;).
So little time now, that my one survivor lives in her very battered tour box and is only occasionally aired. I keep intending (fantasising) to buy a Trace Elliot rig to replace the one I sold when I quit in the 90's.
Don't watch this music video with children around. Its the unedited video for Pussy by Rammstein. Towards the end it gets rather graphic and explicit. You've been warned. Also the only way to find the video unedited is via a porn site. So I guess once the video is over, enjoy the site too. Oh and BBIES!
An obscure band from the '90s that I still like listening to on a fairly regular basis. Stumbled across them while looking at CDs in a music shop while I was on deployment (in the Middle East of all places) back in 1995.
Oh man, I'm glad I came across this! I was considering striking up some sort of music thread. Thanks Cooter
I'm only 27 but I grew up on rock 'n roll and motown thanks to my wonderful parents, so I have developed a love for certain musicians and groups from their era like,
Fantastic Music Driveby. I'm still working on listening to them all. The song I posted is one I almost forgot about. I never really knew the name but I know my mom used to listen to it all the time. It's amazing what you can get from your parents, even if its after you exit the womb. I know at one point in my rebel years, I started listening to rap music. I still have a small soft spot for 90s rap. But mostly 80's or earlier music.
Your around my age DriveBy, so tell me if you remember this song:
I can't seem to find a video of Ozzy's No More Tears on Youtube due to my countries copyright laws. (Mumbles in Homer Simpson) Stupid copyright laws. (End Homer Simpson)
By the way, great tunes everyone! It's good to see everybody in the group has great love for good music. Sorry for the music dump lol, once I started listening on youtube I couldn't stop
Cooter, I never really got into any rap or hip hop all that much. I like some older stuff like A Tribe Called Quest and such...
There is one hip hop (I guess) artist that spends a lot of time playing in my ears. That would be Del the Funky Homosapien! Specifically his Deltron days!

Just bad Oldschool!!
HOW THE FUCK DID MY THREAD TURN INTO THE ITTY BITTY TEENY WHEENY MAN BIKINI THREAD??!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!
Seriously, those pics are disgusting.
Guess I shouldn't have started that war with OldSchool by ACCIDENTALLY flagging his post. Ass.
I think I might be to blame. I may have started it/continued it over at another thread. I'm even getting a little sick of them. My apologies.
Where is Jones latley?

I stumbled across this a month ago. Most of you will hate it. I love it, for the feel and the video.

And the other side. Still sound fresh.

Even earlier influence - look at the straights. The whole audience just does not get it. They were very niche but I loved what they did.

The clan:
Winter NAMM show is wrapping up in Anaheim today. Here are a couple of custom pieces that caught my eye in the show coverage I've seen...
1-From the Charvel custom shop...
2nd & most bad-ass guitar I've ever seen from the ESP custom shop...
This one is a new production model from Dean. Dave Mustaine Zero Trust Signature...
How much would it run to own those bad boys? Arm, Leg, and an Ear?

My next purchse is going to be a music man JP.

Since you're such a shitty player, I think you should send those guitars to me & let me keep em warm for ya.
