Vote For The Next Tournament
Sunday 10/27 will be the next Halo 4 tournament I am running. If I have enough players joining us, the tournament will have teams of four members each. If I do not get enough players, it'll be a mix of FFA games. The tournament will begin at 1 PM EST. Please vote for what you want the gametype to be: CTF, KotH, Oddball, Regicide, Ricochet, Snipers, or SWAT, or Medley (one game each of Oddball, Regicide and Ricochet.) Please note, by voting you're saying as of right now, you'll in all likelihood be ready to play that day (obviously, being almost a month away, I won't hold anyone to that, I just need a rough headcount of the number of players to expect.) I will start an official thread for sign ups in about two weeks. Voting ends 10/12. This is only the second tournament I am running, so I'm open to suggestions. There may be prizes involved IF enough people sign up :)
In!
Medley or Ricochet.
I'll do a tourney, sure. I'm up for medley.
In -- Medley.
Have to work at 10 EST.
In
in (depending on the length of the tourney. i can play from 1 to 5 eastern)
ummm...i vote for....uhhhh.
hmmmm.
never played "medley", so i guess just a mix of game types is good for me.
Interested but will still be at the family hunting camp. That's why I didn't post anything.
I am switching to second shift, as such I am also changing weekends. I should be off that day.
If you have a small number, have a 2v2 tourney with some objective thrown in. 3 against each team. Same game/map rotation through the whole thing.
1. Ricochet-Haven
2. Oddball- lockout remake
3. KOTH on Adrift
Or some such.
I think a FFA circuit would be cool. Play every Monday and get points for what place you get. First would be 10 points, 9 for second, ect. Play 3 games post scores and do this for 5 weeks. Top players would be in a finals elimination match.
If we did do a 2v2 we would have to have some type of skill matching. To often really good teams roll everyone else and kills the tournament. I think the easiest way to do it is by using Team Slayer k/d and having a 2.50 team k/d limit. This will let people make their own team, but will help prevent having a couple stacked teams just roll everyone else.
We could also do a one night multi-team elimination match. 16 players, 8 teams, your teams at the bottom they are out til there is one team left.
i like the doubles idea.
ffa is cool too, but then i can't ride in anyone's backpack...
