What do use to play Forza?

I'm sure this must have been asked before but a new forum and many new members means it is worth asking. I am curious to know what kit you all use and how you think it aids or hinders you as a sim racer.

I use the CSR wheel on a rennsport stand, with the value pedal set. in front of a 60" rear progection TV

The wheel is fine, I have no problem with it, as is the stand. The pedals are another thing. While they work just as they should, I feel the lack of a load cell brake is a hurdle for braking consistancy.

So that's me...how about you.

I use a MS wired controller. (advanced settings: 15/90 steering, 5/95 accel, 5/95 decel - assists: MTC, ABS upon occassion)

I do own a MS Wheel and playseat but unfortunately I can't use it due to the height of my 73" DLP TV (viewing angle is too dark since the seat is too low) .

I wish I could use it but I would have to build a riser and honestly don't have the patience for that plus storage would blow.

I wish I knew if using a wheel could improve my driving but I am sure it must be more fun.

CSR Elite wheel, Clubsport pedals, CSR shifter mounted to a Rennsport wheelstand in my mancave using a 60" DLP TV.

Been using steering wheels for racing games for over 15 years.  Doesn't make me any faster, there are plenty of controller users who I can't keep up with, but I couldn't do one lap on Sunset speedway with a controller without hitting the wall a bunch of times.  Just depends what you are used to.

I Bought the mc2 as a backup option years ago and still have it. Tiny but just as fast when you get used to it. Considering how fast you have been recently I might have to ditch the current rig :) CSR elite, clubsport pedals, a welded rig of my own design, playseat, turtle beach x31's with an ms wireless mic mod and a 32 inch Samsung hd LCD (used to be my 52 inch Samsung but that's on family duty now).

Hello,

First I go upstairs to get a little carpet, because I don't want to ruin our wood floor in the living room. Than I go out in our garden. There's a table which has the right height and place him in front of the tv. After that I build up the wheel and pedals, start the xbox and start racing sitting on a kitchen chair.

It is and it sounds funny, but ...... it works. (As I write this, I think I will make a foto of it.)

After racing I have to build everything back. So Forza is for me real sport. :-)

I'm nervous for tonite's EUSL.

PS: I don't have a pillow for my old elbows, but a pillow for my ...... laugh

For Forza 4, I use a Fanatec CSR wheel, Clubsport pedals and CSR H shifter (S class and below), all of which are mounted to a modded wheelstandpro.

For all other racing games, including GT5, rFactor, iRacing and Richard Burns Rally, I use a Fanatec CSR Elite wheel, Clubsport pedals and CSR H shifter, all of which are mounted to a Rennsport wheel stand.

I just upgraded to triple screens yesterday for PC racing.  I have a 32 inch Sony Bravia HDTV which is the center, and which I use for Forza and GT5.  I also have a 24 inch Insignia HDTV on the left and a 24 inch Dell Ultrasharp monitor on the left.

For sound in Forza and GT5, I use a Turtle Beach PX-5 headset.  For sound in PC, I use a Turtle Beach Z6A headset.

And if you are wondering why I do not use the CSR Elite for Forza, its because the Turtle Beach headset chat does not work in Forza.  It does work with the CSR in Forza.

Fanatec Turbo S with clubsport pedals v1, DIY wheelstand/table, sitting on my couch infront of a 52" Philips LCD. Sound: Harman/Kardon 7.1 reciever with JBL speakers and a wired MS headset. Still not sure about building a tripple beamer setup. I might do that when the new XBOX comes out, maybe then the full HD beamers wiil be within budget.

How to get a signature image

You need to find or make an image  thats about 500 pixles by 140 pixles.

Once you have one upload it to an image hosting website you need to change your account setting on here.

1st. Click "Your Account"

2nd. Click "Edit"

3rd. Post the image URL in the signiture box half way down the page.

4th. Click sumbit

Then your done and it should be working.

Please ensure your image is no bigger that 160 pixles high as it start to make the fourm look real messy

50 inch Panasonic AQUOS with an HDMI cable for an awesome picture, Fanatec GT2, Club Sports, RennSport Stand, TB X41s, loose fitting sweat pants, big fluffy socks with the sweatpants tucked in so they don't catch on the pedals, a wife beater t-shirt with a nice big mustard stain, a pinch of skoal mint and a nice low whisper for the fellas in the lobby to enjoy.

I've been building, tuning and painting a lot of cars lately so at those times I revert to the MS controller for the ease of use. Also been trying to use the Kinect head tracking but can't seem to get it set up right.  I may be a little too far away.

I have a 42 in Visio and use a a old MS wheel on a stand i whipped up out of some scrap metal i had hanging around and my desk chair...the arms on the chair come in handy when i'm leaning against those G-forces blush

the nice thing about this is it stows away in the corner easily and the chair goes back to my  desk...total setup time to play....about 30 seconds cool
