Why I love halo (a community discussion)

Hey all I'm Ish but most of you guys know me as the guy who trashes Halo 4 and Halo Reach all the time.  So perhaps bacuase i have been drinking heavily I would like to share with all of you the things I do like about Halo as a franchise.  Now the reason i do that so much will hopeful become apparent in my listing below.  To be clear I Do NOT think that halo Reach or Halo 4 have totally abandoned the things mentioned below but have at least watered them down.

1.  Game-play - Now this broad subject.  Halo, to me, stands out because, at it's core encourages a true survival of the fittesest mentality.  Marksmanship, intelligence, awareness, and instinct are all things you will need to survive just one match in MM.   Now I, just like every other gamer out there, like a good game of COD but when I am out to prove I am bigger faster stronger and in fact did actually have sex with your Mother, I  play Halo.

2.  Innovation - Many games have copied and you can even say many games have done better but when it actually comes to thinking this stuff up Halo has been the front runner.  Take your pick Theater, community play-listing, match making, hell even just online multiplayer if you really think about it. All made after the model employed by Halo.  Now before i start a flame war (talking to you Counter Strike fans) yes I know there have been games that have done it on PC before but I do counter that none of those things were mainstream before Halo 2 and 3.

3. F A I L ! - You know what Halo and science have in common?  Failure not only is something to learn from but can make you famous at the same time.  I would be lieing if I told you that I did not want to be killed by a flaming street cone that was propelled by a barrel that I shot so I could get Recon helmet before everyone else.

4. Community - Call us fan-boys or call us butt-hurt nerd ragers halo has ALWAYS had a vocal community.  I myself may be leaning toward the rage side a little more than the other but the key fact is, one thing that make us great is our voices.  Be it Bungie or 343 to work there you have to have thick skin but also understand we are telling the developers what we want and how to make this game better.  The fact we are not so easily pleased make us the best community in the world.
