Join in progress needs to go. While it's nice to be able to join your friend when you're in a group of 6 and try to play big team and get put into a 400-50 game with the other team sitting in your base with every vehicle and you spawn into that, it's not worth playing. Frankly I'd rather just go back to waiting a few minutes for a friend to finish than have crap like that keep cropping up.
JIP is a pain in Regicide as well. I came into a game where the "king" already had 235 points. How do you compete with that? Gotta be a way to turn that crap off.

I joined a game of regicide that said "king near victory!" as I joined, and it's thrown me into plenty of games with one or two guys on my team (usually one of them not playing) and my team down 400 points. AND if I try to join friends it's because I want to play WITH them not against them. I hate JIP!
The game has been out for a week, give 343i time to tweak the MM settings. There are some things that could only be tested in a limited fashion - it WILL get better!

This is how I look at it. Knowing the way 343 works, they arent gonna just leave stuff alone if they know the community is complaining about it. At least I hope not. JIP needs to be fixed or at the very least have an option to use it or not.

I'm loving it. I've read some of the negative comments and they mostly seem centered around unfavorable comparisons to other games, either this game is too much like this one or unlike that one. Again a skewed perspective- I've never lasted long enough at any other FPS to have an educated opinion that way.
This was the first LAN I ever came to where someone wasn't pulling together a room of CE, H2 or some other variant on a theme. We hunkered down and played H4 and with the exception of a few spectacularly poorly timed hissy fits there were very few complaints from a hard core group of whiners and complainers. Big team guys were playing 4v4 tournaments and MLG guys were playing some dumb mech variant. Now the LAN encourages a lot of this type of sappy fraternal feeling so now that we're all back we can perhaps start polarizing into our stratified layers and flaming one another- but I think it just might be a pretty good game.
Some people have mentioned that kills are too easy to get, so I'll begin the flaming by calling them a bunch of elitist half-wits. When it comes to me and my incredibly lazy style of game play there is no such thing as kills being "too easy." You want a challenge? Get matched up with me on your team, let me get the sniper and then try to win. That's a challenge.
And fuck Markus.

Not loving the Join in Progress either- some games I got put in, were over by the time I joined. The loadouts arent a huge deal, I think Slayer Pro solves this. The couple options that change that you pick up dropped items (nades and ammo) and the option to carry more, or to have more powerful nades, Im not a fan of.
changing the rate that I fire has made a big difference. there's some things that are just going to take some minor adjustments.

Same here. Started off pacing shots and getting clobbered (damn you Reach). Now I can't pull the trigger fast enough and am getting consistently more kills.
Also gotta agree with the Needler as power weapon. Get someone in your sights and he's dead. Availability of that weapon is somewhat map dependent I think. Noticed a number of them lying around when I am playing Regicide though.
I started playing MM with an open mind. I've noticed practically everything that I hated about Reach they've fixed. No bloom. Loadouts are great because you're not at the mercy of being out voted for default slayer and AR starts. That's huge for me. I can play my own way and still battle for power weapons. I also like grenades having smaller radius in splash damage (without the upgrade). This prevents people from getting cheap kills just throwing random nades. And last but not least, no more Armor Lock. I know there's gonna be a few things that will get to me but I'm leaving an open opinion about a lot of it because my MM experience is still pretty low (about 25 games). I know I don't like the lobby system, how hard it is to flip a warthog with nades, and how powerful the incinerater is but these are hardly game breaking. I'm really loving this game.

The alternative is to not dodge bullets and die faster. That's hardly an alternative if you ask me.

It's called ghandi hopping, and it has it's advantages especially when you are one shot.

This made me laugh, and I agree with it. Most of the time they're an easy kill. Especially the ones who don't actually shoot at you at all lol! In SWAT and when sniping, it's EASIER for me to kill the constant jumpers than "regular" players. Don't know why, don't care why. Keep jumpin and not shootin Timmy.
They do annoy me though, even the easily killed ones. Meh. Timmy makes me cranky sometimes lol

I've learned to use nades as a tool to corral people. It works pretty well

The needler also is kind of funny - seems like less "follow" but more deadly.
If you're anywhere out in the open, that thing is brutal.
Cause it's a power weapon with limited ammo. There are as many chance to kill with it as there are with rockets.
To be fair, there are much more instances of needlers than rockets.
