BF3 Map packs announced
http://www.battlefield.com/battlefield3/1/close-quarters
Looks like they have plans for at least 3 more map packs:
June 2012: Close Quarters (or as I'm sure I'll start calling them "The Shotgun/Frag Round Maps" )
Fall 2012: Armoured Kill (bringing my ATV back into the mix )
Winter 2012: End Game (the title of which leads me to believe that's all they're gonna do )
I'll be getting these for sure.
Awesome......minus close quarters. MW3 already launched...
Also a confirmation to the rumor that console players will be able to rent BF3 servers.
That's going to be awesome. :)
Halo has customizable, private matches for free.
Call of Duty has customizable, private matches for free.
Resistance 3 has, well, everything's free.
I love Battlefield, but I'm not paying EA a fucking penny for options every other game has built in.
These shouldn't be private matches. It should be like what people have rented for PC games for years. Full admin and customized access of a server's settings.
If it's not, they did it wrong.
+1
When I hear "private server" I think being able to set map rotation, TK kicks, weapon loadout, number of guest spots, etc., NOT private matchs.
Nix is right (providing they do it right)
Think about having a clan server vs just a clan/private match game.
That's how I met Nosferatu. Our clan at the time had 2 Call of Duty 1 servers and Nosferatu happened to hop on one day and game with us. One thing led to another, Nosferatu joined our clan and almost 10 years later we still know each other. I made great, longtime friends on clan servers.
Wow it has been 10 years already...thats crazy. Those were my most fun gaming days of my life. CoD vanilla on the PC. Not that I don't have fun here but I am a PC gamer at heart...............i just cant afford to have a good pc anymore. lol Glad to have met Kev and the rest of you guys.
I think a lot of the current age of gamers came from this sort of situation.
I met Nix/MDL70 back in 2003, playing MOH, MOHAA and COD and probably anything else that fit the bill at the time.
I use xfire, and still see a number of the old clan members playin' any number of games, from the cod series, CS etc.
Good times over the last 8-9 years or so.
