COD Ghosts install is.....
49gb
I suggest if you're thinking about grabbing a larger hard drive, do it from the jump. Not sure about the maximum height for the ps4 yet so don't go and buy. There are a lot more 5400 rpm drives available, usually under $100. Or go ssd if you have the cash.

Swapping out the drive from the start looks easy enough and saves you time backing up and restoring later.
I preordered KZ Shadow Fall on PSN too which is close to 50gb. That hybrid is only ~$108 on amazon

I believe they said it's 2.5 just like the PS3 was.
OutcastB
There are multiple heights on 2.5" drives.
Some are 9.5mm, others 12.5mm.
There has been no word on the one that the PS4 would accomodate.
If they stick with the same drive slot as the PS3, then it's 9.5mm.
Don't forget 7mm. (I hope it's not 7mm)
Poking around it looks like 12.5mm maximum height. If I get a verified link I'll post it.
I've built many computer but I've never cracked open any console. My fear is I'll jack up my brand new PS4. How easy is it to change on the HD on ps3?
Very. It doesn't void the warrenty either.

The only gotcha is the screws that hold the drive to the caddy are made of silly putty and strip unless you have a very tight fitting philips screwdriver. You also need a copy of the firmware on a usb key.
Ps4 looks to be easy also. The shiny part on the top pops off. I'll make a vid when I get my hands on it .
The hard drive failed on PS3 just when I got Last of Us.I watched a few you tube vids and changed it out.If I can do it anybody can do it.Only really scary part for me was reformatting etc.

You beat me to it.
Since the OS is using some of the DDR5 will all 500 gig be dedicated to games?
Highly doubt it. I think the ps3 used about 10% so I would expect a larger slice for ps4 with it's vid sharing and other functions.
The OS still needs hdd space to dump memory contents when needed and when power is removed that info in memory is gone.
