Reviews are definitely mixed. I think metacritic has it at 74. For a comparrison, Destiny has a 76.
It looks like a car game I'd enjoy - Not a sim, not a full-on arcade game. Seems like it'll be a fun game to play with a group of people if they can ever sort out their server issues.
I think it comes down to a matter of taste. It sits in the middle between arcade and sim. I enjoyed the Motorstorm games (same dev, on ps3) up to a point and then it just repeatedly and unapologetically kicked my ass.
I was going to give it a try but the Playstation+ version has been delayed due to server issues. The game itself has been delayed for nearly a year, and for it to have these major issues is really disappointing. Also, it was promised by the developers at launch to run at 60 FPS. The version that was released, 30.

They said they were shooting for 60 but it's been known at 30 for the last 6 months.
The whole delay is disappointing. Any game that relies on heavily on servers really needs an open beta to work those bugs out before hand.

You're right, they should have had an open beta to test the servers. I checked last night and not only was the Playstation + version not yet available, the retail version was pulled from the store.
Thanks for sharing. I heard it's not very good.

Server issues or not it is a good racing game. Looks great and drives better.
I will wait for the next GT game. I wouldn't mind another Motorstorm game.
