Driveclub on sale for $35 at Amazon.
Digital copy is still full-price or $50 with PSN+, but the disc version is on-sale at Amazon now for $35.

I picked it up and played for about 15 minutes or so last night. It's incredibly fun. I didn't notice any issues with the single player stuff.
I looked through the "Club" section and every piece seemed to be in place.
Whatever issues they had at launch seem to be gone and the game looks gorgeous. It's a nice middle ground racer -- Not a sim and not too arcadey. Just jump in a car and drive, don't worry about tweaking tires, engines, turbos, etc.
I probably will pick-up the game when it drops super low. Our local used store has it for $25 and their prices drop weekly. I will wait for the $18 and lower range then pull the trigger. Did they ever bring up the free version after all this?
No, I haven't heard anything more about the PS+ version. They really should release it. They aren't exactly picking up a bunch of players with the bad PR recently.
Shame, too...it really is fun.
