Does anyone have any of those two headsets? The fact that it will have 7.1 support has me intrigued.

I have the Pulse Elites. It's not true seperate drivers like say the Trittons. Better than stereo but not as good as true discrete drivers.

I'm looking forward to what else may be in the update.  Going from 1.52 to 1.60 says there may be more.

Headset support, stability and able to turn the camera mic off are the only things I've heard. Japan launch is around the corner so maybe a month after another fw will roll out with more features like youtube and mp3.

Well it's nice that I can actually use my Sony Pulse Elite's on the console now, plus I still have my new PX4's from Turtle Beach, but they still require an update from Sony to allow all 3rd party developed headsets to work on the PS4, right now I still have to connect a cable from the headset directly to the dual shock 4 controller; whereas last night, it wa snice to be totally wireless with my old Pulse Elite.

I am happy with the features of the PS4 the way they are now. I have watched 2 movies and the rest of the time I have spent on the PS4 has been all gaming. Anything else they add will be a bouns for me.

I may ditch my TB X41s and get those pulse elites.

Changed my mind I'm now going to pre-order the Gold edition.  My cat likes to chew on the cord to the controller and every once in a while I get popping noise on my X41s and its getting annoying.

You might hold off on purchasing the golds till some solid reviews pop up. Stay away from the pulse elites , the craptacular abs plastic breaks right above the cups.  I had to fab a metal bracket and exopy it in to add strength. Some folks find them unconfortable too, I haven't had a problem there. They don't look as pretty but they work and hopefully last a bit till I'm satisfied that I got my monies worth.

They are the most uncomfortable headset I have ever owned in my life. Stay away.
