The game of E3 that will make you upgrade your pc?
Just wondering what game folks are looking at that has you drooling so much that your ready to throw some money at a part or two to make sure your pc is up to spec? For me it's The Witcher 3. 50 E3 awards and based on how Witcher 2 can brutalize your PC then I'm sure part 3 will need some extra horsepower under the hood so I can run it Ultra spec.
Honestly, my PC is so old, every game makes me want to upgrade. I just may rebuild one today just so I can play Battlefield 3 at decent settings.
Oh, Battlefield 4 gives me a woody.
Battlefield 4 and Titan Fall.
Just ordered my new parts. Can't wait....
Did you get a new graphics card?
I am thinking about getting another card to run SLI with my current one. I would also probably need a new Power Supply to run SLI.
For no apparent reason I sat down and watched this video the other day. Now I want one. They use the Nvidia Titan ($1,000 card).

I did not get a new GPU. Right now I am using a HD 5780 so unless I get something big there wouldn't be much improvement. I have my 360 on sale so if someone buys it I will consider getting a GTX 770. My CPU is 7 years old and in desperate need of an upgrade. I am bottleneck at a majority of the higher demanding games so an i5 Haswell should be a vast improvement.
We shall see.
And no GTX Titan for me. Who can afford that?
The titan is extream. I'm looking forward to the new haswell line. I'm waiting for that to release to start getting serious about putting something together.
Haswell came out a few weeks ago. Mine is on it's way!
Better off getting a 780 rather than a Titan. Only around 10 percent difference in performance and costs around 350 less. I couldn't see owning one unless you're running ungodly high resolution or multi monitor setup though. I sold my 7950 to my neighbor because I have a 770 on the way. As it stands that's overkill for 1080p single monitor but I'm hoping it will keep me maxing most titles for at least a couple years. Then if I need I'll sli another down the road.
I have a 570 on my rig that is now about 2 years old and I have been able to run every game at max so far, with some sacrifice to FPS on a single 1080p monitor. I run about 45 fps on BF3 and Crysis 2. I may just get another in SLI to last a few more years.
Is Haswell the new generation of Intel Processors? This replaces the Ivy Bridge?
Yea Haswell is the Ivy Bridge successor. From teh reviews I read if you currently have a Ivy there is no need to switch. Requires a new motherboard because it's socket 1150 instead of 1155 for ivy bridge/sandy. Also read that overclockers should sit on what they have since this chip gets even hotter then Ivy when running voltages through it.
Yeah, your right. From what I have learned, the Haswell saves battery and power. It seems to be suited for laptops rather then desktops.
My parts come in the mail tomorrow! I absolutely can not wait. I am stuck with my HD 5870 though. For the past week I have been trying to sell my Xbox 360 without any luck. If you know anyone who wants one, please let me know.
