Yeah I saw that also. I was a bit worried about ti when they interviewed Mark Cerny the other day. He didn't seem too thrilled about it, like it was rushed because they had a deadline to get it out by.
I went ahead and opened mine the other day so I wouldn't see any bad reviews and make me want to return it. 8/10 is not a bad score by any means. I don't take reviews too seriously however. I will play it and look forward to forming my own opinion. I have only ever been impressed by one launch game anyway, and that was Halo on the orginal XBOX. Things will get much better I am sure. I am sure I will enjoy Killzone and BF4 that I purchased and I really look forward to Warframe to be honest. I watched the launch trailer yesterday and it just seems there are so many cool things you can do.
I LOVE this game so far. Sure the story might not be insane but the way the game looks is so awesome. I keep getting killed by taking a second to look around. I just need to get my controller muscle memory issue worked out :).
Campaign was just OK. With that said, for some reason kept wanting to go back and keep playing it. And I am going to play it again. Nothing stood out as over the top with it though. And I hated the flying/falling parts. I did like that parts of it had an old school shooter feel to it. The graphics are unbelievable. I just started multiplayer last week and only played a couple hours. It as with all the KZ is a blast!!! KZ2 was one of the best multiplayers I have played. I like the new classes and that there are less of them but more weapons and abilities to choose from for each class. Look me up if you want to play. PSN - Kidmach
I think it got meh reviews because there is no hand holding in the 'objective' sections. You can easily lose your way. I was standing around around for 20-30 min trying to figure out what I was doing wrong. The first scanner system on Helghan for those wondering. I was just going about it wrong.
I watched the entire IGN review. it would have received a better score if it was not for the falling/flying stages according to the reviewer. That is what frustrated me the most as well. The multiplayer is great fun.
Ign gave knack a 5.9. Yikes! Compared it to a boring plane ride.

I think I'm still going to get killzone despite the all over the place reviews. It's basically the only exclusive that's half way decent.

Love Killzone, don't care what the reviews say!
I'm with ya...
There's something so satisfying with that "chirp" you hear when you shoot Biznass in the head during an MP match.
