Remember Balki Bartokomous – the shepherd from the small Mediterranean island of Mypos who seeks out his cousin Larry Appleton in Chicago in hopes of a better life?

If your answer to that question is “No,” you’re likely too young to have watchedPerfect Strangers, the sitcom that debuted in 1986 and turned Bronson Pinchot into a household name, only to have him disappear into obscurity again after the show was cancelled in 1993. (According to his IMDb page, Pinchot’s still working in the industry. Who knew?)

Or perhaps you just tried to block it out of your memory. And if that’s the case, sorry for bringing it up…

But if you were one of the six fans with Neilsen boxes that unjustly kept the atrocious show on the air for eight seasons, you’ll be happy to know that now you can relive the show in video game form… Well, sort of.

As Kotaku reports, designer Jason Oda created a Flash game in honour of the series. It’s called Nothing’s Gonna Stop Me Now after the theme song, possibly the most uplifting yet corniest, sitcom music ever written. To play you type in your dream in life. Then as a computerized Balki, you chase that dream across the screen. Actually, all you do is run through the course and collect stars as the theme music plays. Pictures of the main actors also appear in the background.

I wouldn’t go so far to say it’s good as there’s no real skill involved. But it’s diverting. You can play the game here and see what you think.
