My biggest concern with this ability to set their own standards are
What are the guidlines?
How much will SONY be involved?
I don't want 25+ crap games hitting me everytime I log in to the PSN.
I would imagine they still have to pass a QA of sorts to get it on PSN.
I figure with Sony running more of the promo side they will effectively push the cream to the top. With sales and eyeball counts they certainly have enough metrics to do that.
It feels like Sony is competing more with Steam than MS. MS is competing more with Google/Apple than Sony.
