Sleeping Dogs?
Anyone try it on PC yet? How are the controls and the gameplay? I kind of prefer driving games on console, but since I can get it on PC for half the cost I'm very tempted.
Also is it demanding on your machine? My laptop just barely meets the recommended system specs.. I don't know if this means it'll play it smoothly, or if it'll just play.
I use the Xbox controller for driving games on my PC. For games like GTA, I switch off between the two. But about sleeping dogs, no, I haven't played it. It's one of those games I'll eventually pick up when it is deeply discounted on a Steam sale.
Sleeping dogs on pc is the best version. 360 controller makes it basically the same as console so if you pick it up for that you won't have a problem at all. It is a game I'm going to wai for steam sale to purchase though.
I'm considering picking this one up, and have been interested in it since I saw the trailers a while back.
I played the PS3 demo, and it was decent. The game mechanics are fairly simple... It's apparently open world, but in the demo you're fairly limited, because you're on a quest.
The graphics on the PS3 were okay, but I know for sure they'll be far better on the PC.
So I took the plunge. It could definitely benefit from the Xbox 360 controller particularly due to the driving (definitely needs analog controls for steering) so I'll have to pick up a USB receiver. Fighting controls on PC take some getting used to but aren't horrible. The game itself is very good and runs beautifully on my laptop.
Also a couple of you said you're waiting for a big discount on Steam. I purchased it from Keys4.me for $22. IT's a Russian CD key but it activates and downloads in Steam and the game is still in English.
