Some controller feels

Now we've seen the box and the controller together. I'm not excited about the box itself but I'm curious about the controller. Here's a glimpse but you never know till you hold it in your own hands.

http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/06/11/e3-2013-playstation-4-dualshock-4-controller-hands-on

"As a player with fairly large hands, the previous design felt cramped and small — the DualShock 4 resolves much of these issues. The handles are more rounded and designed in such a way to conform with the palm of your hand as you play. The shoulder buttons and triggers, while not much larger than the previous iteration, feel much more natural by curving with your fingers. Most importantly, the triggers are convex (aka curve inward), which prevent your finger from sliding off as you make fast taps or when holding them down."

"All in all, the new controller feels great, responsive and comfortable. The PS4 Eye works efficiently and interestingly in tandem with the new controller, and the console loaded demos quickly and without pause. Keep an eye out for more PlayStation 4 coverage straight from E3 2013."

Giantbomb said the controller feels fantastic, and that the triggers were spot on. They liked the feel of the handles. So, that's awesome news. I didn't like the ps3 controller as much. Sony seems to be firing on all cylinders!

That is great news to me. I really didnt like the currect controllers trigger. The Xbox controller, although bulky, felt way better.

But isn't "concave" curving inward and "convex" outward.  smiley

I prefered the sticks on the 360 controller myself. The orientation not so much. I had a bad 360 controller and ripped it apart and stuck the sticks on my ds3 controler and it felt pretty good.

I find the 360 controller too clunky.  I like the finess of the ds3.  that said - I would like a little more "weight" to it so it sounds like this might be a nice in between kind of thing.

I find w/ the DS3 that I get callouses in the center of my palms, where the end of the handle sits. (unlikely on my fingers when I play with your mom)

Also experience some L2 / R2 "slipping" but generally not enough to have been a significant problem.

I'm hoping these new models will make that a thing of the past. I'm digging the styling for sure.

You can fix that for $5. I've even seen them at the Wally world.

With age they start popping off. I just glued mine on with a little caulk.

I'm liking what I see so far. Only issue I have with current controller is L2 and R2. I have tried to keep up with sho it's clan night but find myself hating the 360 controller now and can only play a few games.

Remember that thing? You could kill a man with it. Nothing to do with any of this, I just love the picture. I can't find comparison pics of this with the new controllers.

I liked the original Xbox controllers.

The PS4 contoller I find butt ugly in terms of aesthetics.
