Super Monday Night Combat available on Steam today (apparently)
F2P game with a similar art style to TF2. MOBA - third person shooter. Apparently much better than MNC (the original on XBOX / PC). I'll download it and let you know what I think :) been watching some beta gameplay and commentary and the people seem to be digging it. Apparently follows the League of Legends model pretty closely (different maps though) in terms of skills, leveling up, buying heroes etc.
and if it fails I wouldn't mind doing some more LoL at some point either :D
uggg I really want to play this but I think I'm having a port issue and can't find info on which ports I need to forward to fix it. I really want to give this a whirl.
so I had to update the firmware in my DLink router to fix this problem (something I should be on top of seeing as I work in IT anyway lol) and then I was able to play.
I really like the game. MOBA (league of legends) style game where you take down enemy turrets, kill bots and use your bots for support to take down turrets and an enemy players. You level up during the match like in LoL and can uses your points to enhance abilities of your character (3 special abilities, defence ability, attack ability). You carry 2 weapons that each have alt-fire options (usually the alt fire for your 2nd weapon is your grapple attack move). The jungle in these maps is above the lanes so that kind of adds a new dyamic as well. I think I would have preferred a grittier gears of war style thing going on instead of the comedy / game show / TF2 style graphics but that is minor to me - the game play is good.
Anywho if you like the MOBA's and like 3rd person shooters you might dig this game. Here's a really good video of a guy explaining how to play the game (helped me out a lot).

I was looking at this today and scratching my head trying to figure out if it was a new one or just an update. to the older one. Guess I am going to have to check it out.
I never played the original but wanted to (despite hearing it was flawed) but from what I understand this one is a lot more LoL like whereas the old one was more tower defenceish (building turrets etc.). This one is also supposed to be more polished/less buggy etc.
