Time to go public?
I'm wondering...with the decline in activity both on the forums and on the PS3, is it time to take 2o2r public? Seems with V3 and a large chunk of people heading over to the 360 full time (or close to it), it got quiet in here with only a handful of folks playing online at times.
I noticed other groups made their foums public but I don't know if it helped them. If you landed on the website as it is today, there is zero mention of PS3 activity anywhere on the site unless you poke around and stumble upon the group list.
Thoughts?
It may well be.
to be honest, I don't see much activity anywhere @ 2o2p these days.
it's pretty sad really.
I think it's dead Jim.
I'm still alive. I just have my hands full right now. I plan on returning at some point, just unsure when.
On that note, I hope you guys are all doing good. Miss playing BF3 with you guys. Some of you I've not even had a chance to game with at all. Maybe this winter when I'm locked up in my house all season..
I just created '2old2playstation' on the open forum after talking with Doodi. I'm looking to create a landing pad for new folks just finding 2o2p. To be honest, as of V3 I wouldn't even know where to find Resist much less join it.
Even with you telling us you created it, I don't see that forum at all. Where is it?
Good Job, Biznass.. and great point.
I can't imagine what it would be like to be a noobie visiting the 2o2p site currently.
wow, that's fail.
I had to go looking for it under the "Groups" List.
with a platform of "playstation"
it was at the bottom of that list.
I think we need to make a post about it in the main forums.
It's in the 'group forums'.
There was a little button to go public and I smashed it. Maybe that was the problem.
It's still a very awkward thing to navigate to.
I left the group, and it was still there.
but when you mentioned the group to me yesterday, it didn't show up.
i'll re-join
Are you saying you have to join it? I want just a spot to post, no joing req'd, just go and post. If I can't get this worked out myself I'll drop Doodi a line.
naw, i was able to post without joining.
I have been absent for a while myself. It seems like the move to V3 makes the place a little quiet. Harder to find stuff but it's cleaner and looks better. I didn't have a playstation before but I was always interested in it and I found more playstation stuff on the old forums. It could be a coincedence that the move to V3 and summer is just bad timing and the heavy posters are taking a break but Biznass maybe onto something here. Of course now that we have the playstation forum we should leave it this way instead of moving 2o2r to public. Make our casual posts and news posts under playstation and clan stuff stays here?
BTW, is the co-op syndicate only xbox and pc? If not maybe we can make a subforum under this and get that rolling. The xbox guys are great about revisiting classics and getting events rolling. I still play in the Halo ones. Basically I am trying to say, let's shake things up here and get some activity going on. If we are worried about getting some members here let's make sure we have some activity going on first.
There's kind of a perfect storm. This generation is looooong, people arn't wow'd anymore. Peeps that are comfortable on PC have gone back there with their mods/sales/realatively cheap hardware. The summer time is usually a slow time around here and the switch to v3 confused/irritated folks.
I'm not sure the fall is going to pull people back in with it's kinda weak lineup. A few years ago it was "why do they wait to release everything now?!" and now this gen is on it's last legs really. New systems should hit around 13' so I guess it's just kind of hold on and see what happens.
The V3 update and lack of activitity, summertime, the BF3 DLC bullshit, plus the Steam summer sale, all of these things caused me to swap over to PC and neglect my PS3.
Speaking of PC... anyone getting Borderlands 2 for PC??? :D
Golf took over for me but should get more active now that the season is slowing down and its getting darker way to early.
All of 202P is like a ghost town. It was bound to happen with how the site looks, and how frustrating it is to navigate.
Resist seems to be struggling as well. Biz did well by creating the Playstation public forum. It helps PS3 newcomers find their way to Resist.
Now, if you'll excuse me, back to catching up on old Resist posts.
Went Downhill since V3. I miss V2.
I've just been really busy lately but I try to game whenever I can. Been going back and forth between Guild Wars 2 and PS3.
What Kev meant to say is he is dating a new man.
