[GT6] One Off Dirt Event - March 1 - 2000 GMT (15:00 EST) [FINISHED]
Saturday March 1 @ 3:00 EST Parcells is hosting our first GT6 dirt event. This is your chance to race within a cloud of dust as you try to overtake your Forza brethren and show him/her who owns the dirt! It’ll be first come first serve (can’t imagine having 16+) but if you want me to save you a spot please post below. Event should take about 1.5 hours with a reasonable turn out - with less than 8 may lower some laps? Any questions just ask.
If or when the game allows to gift cars Parcells will award the winner of this event the Rally car of their choice (price is no concern, plus I already own the car)
Car: Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI Rally car – 99 (315 HP 486 PP)
Car Upgrades: Oil change only, plus you should grab some dirt tires.
Tracks: First race ONLY will have a 6 minute qualifier with fastest first grid order. Subsequent races will be reverse grid based on previous race results.
Eiger Nordwand G track – 6 laps
Eiger Nordwand W track – 10 laps
Toscana – 7 laps
Eiger Nordwand G track – Reverse - 6 laps
Eiger Nordwand K track – 4 laps
Room settings will be basically all SIM like except no penalties and no skid recovery of course.

Parcells cannot claim the below final speed settings will improve your lap times but they are what I'll be using.
G reverse & W tracks - 137, the other 3 tracks - 143
Wife's Bday on the first race so won't be there, but I would like to run this if it becomes a series.
I may not make it this week but if Im around, I'll be there playing in the dirt!

Great Time on the Dirt Parcells...That Down Hill Portion MURDERED ME....Need some more practice.....Especially on passing skills...Sorry for all the bumps
Well that was a slightly disappointing turnout. Started with 6 but before race 2 ended we were down to 4. Seems this crowd isn't overly fond of dirt racing. Its definitely different and I'll give it another go if some interest is shown.
CPro...It certainly was...Had ran some dirt races before but nothing like these..Educational to say the least but FUN...Did some practice laps beforehand but didn't mean anything...When you get behind a pack or even one car you will have a hard time seeing the track let alone your stopping points..Excruciating...And the corners...WTF...You may think you might get by someone but WHAMMM....You are a Bangin'....Maybe a Snow race won't kick up so much debris...

One of the reasons I didnt add another Megane race for this week was that I knew I was not going to be around today. I do hope for another go in the dirt in the future

If you guys want to give it another go post below with your preferences...without any new series planned (that I'm aware of) I'm thinking Saturday's remain our best day of the week and the 3:00 EST works for Parcells but my realistic time frame is anywhere from 1-8:30 EST. Next week is the RX7's so what about any other Saturday this month and time preference?
P.S. When the event completed I figured Parcells was the obvious winner with his mastery of every track but having slept on it I'm ready to declare Wheels the inaugral Dirt track champion. Well done Wheels, your gift car will be delivered if or when PD implements car gifting. In the interim consider what car you want and let me know. I'm pretty sure Wheels won 2 races and more importantly he stuck it out with and kept up with three other guys who have a shit load more experience racing on dirt than him.
Additionally on the small track Wheels did an amazing job holding off Dan and me for 3 solid laps at least, that was some great racing. The fact he bumped Parcells along the way has been acknowledged and accepted thats not a big deal it is very difficult to pass completely clean on most of these dirt tracks but if he ever does that shit again he's bantha fodder!
Thanks Parcells but No Thanks...There is no need for any gifts...The greatest gift you can give me is to keep having these type of races and other races that you have created and run. I feel bad about bumping you up...I guess I thought for a split second that maybe and I mean maybe I could run with you for awhile...Common sense said Parcells is running a lot faster that I am and let him go by...But NOOOO....Had to give it a go...What a Dumb Ass...You still Spanked My Ass in no time....If anyone deserves anything it is you...With the time spent creating great races and your generosity in giving tips along the way means more to me than anything...Hopefully next time with some more practice I can do a better job in the non-contact portion of the race..Sincere Thanks!!
