I hope so too, but really man if your going to get into true Sims then your going to miss so much sticking with a pad. One thing I found was my pad wasn't centering well after corners and as the speed built up it was just getting harder and harder to control the car...maybe your new pad will be better, but be prepared, this is not going to be as easy as Race 07, that is designed to be easy to drive.

I wish I had:
A. The funds for a wheel
B. A wife who see this more as a poxy "game"
C. The space for a wheel
and D. The time to put in it
Its strange because i'm a stickler for joy pads not dead centering. I have had this current 360 for 2 years now and have already bought 5 Joy pads for it just because they get a tiny tiny bit loose!
Right need to talk to the wife to let me use our bank card to sign up for this
Save, combine birthday and xmas presants, scan for second hand bargins. Room? told you a collapsable wheel stand. Wife...build up those brownie points.
I'm not saying like do it now mate, but make it a target and cross bridges as you come to them.
If you get on with it Church we could take it in turns to host practice sessions It's only a dollor for 2 hours and can be restricted to League members, it;s one thing I miss with iRacing having other cars on track for practice.
Well things went a bit better today, did two races and stayed out of trouble. Picked up a 5th and a 4th so that did my SR a world of good. Road racing first licence sorted, now to start working on the Oval.
Yes I agree, okay some of it may be that I was just starting to get the hang of it when I left it last time, but I think your right, it does seem less on ice ond more on tarmac now.
Remember guys.....where you finish has less to do with your SR than avoiding contact, spins & tires off the track, in fact I don't believe it has any affect.
I was having minor issues with the new wheel setup, things just didnt seem right....I installed the new driver and firmware and that brought it to life a bit more but still off.....i was having problems with deadline, braking and shifting with clutch would always ping the rev meter....so i went onto the fanatec settings and switched a few things, origin!ply I had dampening at 0 and combine pedals unticked...switched to 100% damping and checked combine pedals, took it for a spin. In iracing and was a completly new feel. No lock ups when braking, nice smooth shifting and wheel has alot mor feel, I have better road contact and tire flex than before.....set a couple pbs shortly after :)
Anyone running the solstice/mx5 @ laguna ?
Boooooooo

Well as daft as it sounds we will be moving into a 3 bed soon as this 2 bed new build is getting mighty small! (Gaming room FTW)

I was having a bad day.
After I finished my s/r dropped below the level I started at aggghhhhhhhghhhgghh
I did some practice laps in the MX5 and a time trial tonight, and it feels a lot different to when I last played it!!
The cars were very unstable but this time around I'm actually managing to do 20-30 clean laps in a row now

Finishing well however does affect your iRating.
I really need to get this dead-zone sorted for my joystick.
Other than that I'm really enjoying it
Church, same for you. Send me a PM with your iRacing name so I can send you a FR and GBR iRacing league invite.
