Looking for some solid tunes!
Looking for some solid tunes!
Hey guys. So racing last night in various classes has shown that I need some help with my garage. Not so much the actual cars, I can go buy them (although some of the extreme cars can be expensive) but rather some solid tunes in the various classes (all of them actually) and was hoping you guys could help with that.
I'm not looking for all out speed but more on the handling side of things. That said, most of you know me buy now so anything that can help with the cars would be appriecated. The only DLC pack I have is the Porsche Pack.
I drive Manual, with assists off in the A class and below. In the S Classes and above, I have TCS "on" but working to get that turned off also.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance
I've got shitload of A class cars. Let me know if any of the following interest you. Bear in mind that I like my setups a little loose most of the time. Also I'm a wheel user. sometimes wheel tunes don't translate to controller users well. Everyone has different tastes/driving styles.
Some of my best/favorite A class cars...
Shelby Daytona
1981? Lotus Espirit
Pantera
Lotus Exige
Porsche 911's of various types
Porsche Cayman R
RWD Lambo's
Ferrari F-40
Ferrari 355
512 TR
There's lots more I can't think of off the top of my head,
I don't have a bunch of great tunes myself but I have a few that are pretty solid. An unusual mix of cars too. Mercedes EVO 190 (A class), Mercury Couger (A class), Lotus Elan (D class), VW Golf (C-class), 90 Mullet Mobile Camaro (A-class), Corvette C4 GS (A-class), and maybe a few others. I migt have a couple S-class cars too, but most of them are just pure garbage.
One of these days I need to put some effort into making some of my A-class cars better.
I have an A Class 914 I'll send ya...
I have a crap load of tunes on my storefront for pretty much every class. Stick to the stuff with aero, or that has high ratings. Some of my fastest tunes have 3 star ratings but they are a challenge to drive. If you want a car in a specific class just ask and I can build you something.
anything B-class. Most all my cars for B-class are crap. Really slow in a strait line, or built for a series with weird builds.
Have almost 150 built b class cars. Probably a half dozen on my SF, check it out. I recommend the 65 mustang, and the Audi quattro.
I have some drift tunes I can send you if you like, there are much better race tuners here so I will leave that to them, but I can help you out with a few free high end cars. I have a few R1 etc in my garage. Also how long have you been in 2o2p or playing forza I have a nice A tune skyline going in another post free to the first new member or new forza player to post on it.
Hey guys here is my formula for tunning grip cars from F-A.ar
First You will Need Race Suspension.
Now I only know suspension and not gearing..
Tires:
FWD 29/30 AWD 29/29 RWD 30/29
Cam/Toe
-1.0 / -0.8 +0.1/ -0.2
Anti: take top number times .9= Rear number
SPRINGS
take weight times (weight balance) divide by 2 you get front... weight times remaining car balance of 100 divide by 2 you get rear
example
car weighs 1500 car balance is 51% it would be 1500 X .54 / 2 = 750.27 and you get Front
car weighs 1500 car balance is 51% because it's the rear it becomes 49%. So you get 1500 times .49% divided by two
bound rebound
front times .9 get rear
everything else is to your liking
any questions ask
I can't help out with tuning tips but it looks like the replies so far have got you covered there.
Although a useful tip I foud out (from others on this site) is in relation to organising your garage once you have a few solid cars tuned for particular classes.
If you view your garage in the grid view you can then select cars either individually or in groups (I think using the right shifter) and then click A to get the option to "create car group" you can then name this group and add the selected cars to it for finding them more easliy. I have set up groups such as "A Class grip", etc. It means that when you are in a lobby you don't have to search through every car you have in a particular class trying to work out which one to use!
I love tuning and driving vintage cars, 1960s to late 1990s, I guess it's sort of my specialty. Mostly RWDs. Lots of Japanese and European cars with a few American cars (pretty much just Fords) . Just let me know if you have any cars you want tuned, I'm happy to share.
Right now, Im just looking for a couple cars in each class that I can use in various events. Perhaps a version for short tight tracks and a version for the longer strait type tracks. In short, something that is competitive. I prefer cars on the tighter side for now. so anything you have, I'd love to try. I can buy the car if I dont have it. Thanks
Are you running the Wednesday track days with Gizzie? Good place to see what runs well and just ask... Also checkout cars in the club garages, ask the owner if you find one you like.
Remind me when we are in a lobby and I'll write down a few you might like.
I have a few of Tournis tunes I will send them to you.
thanks!
I haven't forgot about you Grim, I've been busy on and off Forza, but I'll still get you some tunes.
No worries. Fitzy sent me a few and Im going to give them a try this week. More the merrier!
Thanks
Sent a few tunes over last night. Mostly A class w/ aero and I think one B class on sport tires. They're pretty decent tunes, I do well with them.
Thanks to Fitzy and Driveby for the tunes. I plan to get some laps in them soon. its noce to have a few selections to choose from. That said, Im still really light in the D350 and E275 classes. If anyone has anything in this area that they wouldnt mind gifting to me, Id paareciate it very much.
Thanka again everyone!
I'll gift over an MR2 A-class tune that is really good. Reminds me of an A class version of the Evora It's a little tight, but will turn better if you get into the throttle a bit. (I'd like to get some feedback on it anyhow)
Also will send over the D350 Elan. NO IDEA what ANY of the settings are on it. It's good enough that I've never even checked.
The MR2 is sweet. I'll give the elan a go soon. Thanks
Search DirtT Tuned or D2NR we did a heep load of lower class grip tunes that were running top 100 times :)
Thanks and I'll look into those. There is one tune in particular I would love to get my hands on is the 05 Honda NSX-R Gt (A600) by M3Rocket that is in the club garage. That car is a blast to drive.
I think I might have that.
