Newb Questions
Im very new to MMO's and need a little help.
1.) Whats a good newbie toon? Sylvari Ranger, Norn Guardian, Asura Engineer, etc ?
2.) Do I have to choose a certain server to game on? If so which should I choose?
I have a alot of other questions but those 2 will get me set up and ready to start I think.
A bunch of us are on Stormbluff Isle. You can transfer for free. I really enjoy my Ranger but they are sort of a broken class. I'm able to get it to work but I mostly do WvWvW. Guardians are a pretty solid class too. Engineers are not too popular and I don't know much about them. I have a Warrior that's level capped, it's a decent class. I'm currently working on a thief, not too crazy about that.

I would start with the Guardian. Fairly simple class to play and your tough as shit but dont put out mass amounts of damage. You can pcik any race (Norn, Sylvari, etc..). No race has any benefit over the other.
I have a level capped Elementist and currently leveling a Guardian. The Elementalist is probably one of the hardest classes to play IMO but really fun.
Guardian it is. I like the idea that any race can be any profession. That seems pretty cool. I think the Norn - Guardian would be pretty menacing. What level do you have to be when doing a WvWvW to actually help a team out? Im guesing if I go in their with a level 8 character I would get demolished.
You get bumped up to 80 while in WvW but you will only have level 8 skills. Still, if you work with a team you could be a great asset. Manning seige or runny supplies. Playing WvW is a good break while leveling. You'll also bump a level or two without noticing. It's good if you are underlevel in an area.
