Home sweet home - new member here

So I found this site after a nice google session.

i am a 32 year old gamer and have a vast amount of games under my belt.  Was a top 1,2 or 3 player in the world for the Links golf series. Moved on to the FPS world with Quake, Quake 2 and Counterstrike and had formed a lifelong addiction to every shooter out there.

i currently am a battlefield junkie, with mixes of FIFA soccer and whatever good game is out there.  I am lucky enough to have a kid who games and it has been very enjoyable but I reached a point where I want to talk to adults about gaming, and not just my single immature going no where in life friends.  I am a working professional with a great career just have zero people in my field who game and this is my new nirvana I hope.
