An oldie but a newbie

Hello good people, I'm new to the community and wanted to say hello.

About me - I'm knocking on 40 and I live in NYC with my partner of 15 years.  I like to cook, travel, and enjoy a good drink with friends now and again.  I also like to play the video games and am looking forward to joining up for some multiplayer and showing off my poor gaming skills.

My current addiction is BF3 on the 360.  I really enjoy it, but I'm conclusive proof that there is no correlation between the mastery of an activity and the number of hours spent doing it.
