Portal 2 Co-Op XBox Live, looking for a partner that isn't a toddler
I joined years ago for a similar reason, got deployed, forgot about my account. I can't seem to find a listing of members who want to play co-op with people who are old enough to enjoy a drink and share a bed with their loved one.
Just tried playing with a random friend and wound up playing with a 9 yr old for 30 minutes. It just feels wrong, as I spent more time in the military than this kid had been alive. Having recently finished the single player storyline, I'm looking to play through the co-op. Does anyone know how or where to go to build up some friends my age, or where to find an index of players that don't sound like some mysterious cross between a toddler and a swearing sailor? I guess message me if you want to play co-op sometime.
The 9 yr old was surprisingly polite, I'm guessing his mom is letting him play Portal 2 because there isn't any gore. I cracked up when he got upset and said "This frigging sucks! I died again! Sorry." While it was cute, after answering some fundamental questions as to why the "computer was testing us, obviously the portals work" that the test is our ability to solve the puzzle, I was a bit disturbed that I unwittingly assisted in the raising of a 9 yr old. Made me wonder whether parents should be a bit more cognizant of how online gaming works. This kid could have been playing with some disenchanted bad influence and his mother never would have known.
Welcome to the site.
Although we are over 25 years old please remember some of us dont always act like it.
Hell, I don't act like I'm early 30s when I'm playing. I know it's not really "todays" title game, but for petes sake. A 9yr old?! I guess I should have expected it.
welcome to the house!
you could try starting a thread in the "coop-syndicate" forum

beyond that, i'm not really sure. the only title i play is halo. i'll ask around and see if i can come up with anything.
Got bored and found my original Halo (1) for PC and started playing it on my laptop last night. The reason I bought an xbox was because when I first joined the military, I belonged to a unit that bought a bunch of the original xbox's and set them up in our dayroom with system link, and the old style of big screen TVs. We had 8 man tournements for weeks. Live took off and ultimately dissappoints me for the innundation of toddlers.
Welcome!
