I agree with you 100%. I think games used to have soul and no, it's not nostalgia or anything, just things were different. I really miss adventure games, still waiting for that one game, that will bring balance to the force (in terms of adventure games).

But still, all is not dark, there are awesome modern games, you just have to dig deeper.
