Quick way to up Bad Ass rank with Gunzerker
Interesting video, wasn't aware that some challenges rolled over and let you do them again. YOu dnn't need to use a gunzerker but he makes it even faster because of his dual weild ability
So thankful the group I play with doesn't do this crap.
What a really fast way to ruin your gaming experience.
<rolls eys> to each his own...
Cheers,
I'm at the point now with one character that i feel like i'm done , ther's nothing more to do with my Siren now except farm which is a total waste of time for more than one reason, or find other extra carricular activities. My only other choice is to start another play thru with a new character which.... i dunno. That's not really that appearling to me, i'm not going to experience anything new doing that except some new character class speech stuff and some different skills.
YOu know what they say about idle hands.... or in this case, boredom.
Meh... depends why someone is playing the game. If you are just racing to get as high level and best gear as fast as possible, then I would say, that's a good way to get bored fast, but it's your choice to do that, just be mindful you are in control and ruining your own experience. We are all not playing the game that way.... nor are we all playing for that reason.
From posts, one could conclude a trend...
- Power level characters to get to 50 (max) as fast as possible
- Farm baddies for the best gear
- Glitch the Sanctuary gold box or troll interwebs for keys for more gold keys in game
- Glitch to get crazy high bad ass rank
- Then get bored with the game, because there's nothing left for you to 'do' except claim that the baddie drops are too low, and get frustrated with your lack of progress or potential...
LOL, perhaps it's not the game... perhaps your approach to playing it is really just to break it, then creates a perspective that you are unhappy now that there's nothing to do... As previously mentioned, the above approach is a good way to ruin any level / progression experience game. Playing each character in this game is not about the destination, it's about the journey.
If you could have the best of everything a virtual "I win" button... then you could just start the game, hit your magic button and have it all. There you go - best of everything - woot... you are super L33t status... all the achivements are yours, ding... then... what's the point? The game would be over. You would have it all. Perhaps you have effectively manufactured your own "I win button" with all the glitching, racing for gear, etc.
The enjoyment to be had from any game like this is not having the best everything immediately, it's not even when you do have the best of everything.... it's the journey, and the road to get there, and the experience with others as the story and the level progression unfolds. Instant Gratification is your worst enemy with a game like this.
Example: I don't have any character to level 50 yet. My Maya is around 38 and early on the second play through. I started playing the Mechromancer to see how she plays through the lower, mid and higher levels on the first playthrough. Just got to the Fridge last night and I'm level 17 or so. My other three characters are all on playthrough 1 and around level 13. I'm having a great time experiencing each of the characters and gaming with others and watching the characters grow and learning how each interacts with other characters. I've only encountered Terramorphous with my Maya, and we barely dented it before party wipe. We knew we were not high enough level yet, and it was just to see the boss. We'll all come back and fight it later.
I want the game to last and enjoy the ride... It's kind of like Life... it's not about getting to death as fast as possible, it's about enjoying each and every age and all the experiences as you grow. End game is death. No hurry to get there.
Cheers,
My attitude towards the game is the same, Tactica: it's about the journey, not the destination, but I know there are others out there who like to cycle through games faster. Feel the thrill, move on to the next game. For them, these glitches and tricks and whatnot are a quick way to help them meet their goal as maximizers - beat the crap out of the game, or exploit whatever holes it has to offer, or race to the finish line (be it the story, the end boss, the amassed fortune, or finding the kickassest weaponds) so they can say they tasted it all the way through, then move on. It's not a bad approach, it just not the one I (or you) would take. It's how they play the game.
I think of it like eating steak. Some people eat quickly, enjoy it thoroughly, feel satisfied, and are done. Others like to spend a lot of time chewing on it and savoring the moment for as long as they can. Either way, the steak gets eaten and everyone gets their fill.
I played Level 1-50 legit with one exception, we did totally by accident honest to god glitch the gold chest and spent an hour farming it when I was about level 44. But that time spent was largely a waste because within 2 levels the gear we got out o fthat chest wasn't cutting it anymore. You have to keep evolving your gear especially if you're going thru TVHM only doing story missions and leaving the sides until they all are level 50 difficulty to get the highest quality gear out of them.
I just have a lot of time to play so I get thru games quickly. I've played the game thru twice properly with my siren, farmed bosses, got legendaries, played the arenas. That's the end, there's nothing more to do with that character. I suppose i could go back and finish out BA challenges i missed and get the enemy kills up to level 5, but that's just kind of a grind , the fun level drops a bit doing that, kind of the same as it does replaying the entire game with a different character. THere's nothing new to experience now i guess is my point, the game does reach a character evolution stopping point and I've hit it. I've already got what, 140hours into this game so far on one character? It's rasonable to expect if someone's played one character for 140 hours, they've probably hit the end of the game.
Thankfully there's DLC coming on Tuesday to give me some new content to blast thru with my maxed out character.
