Race 07 dedicated server up!
Hey guys i came across a thread today that show you how to set up a dedicated server through steam on the the same computer your gaming from. So i set one up with just the base cars from Race 07 and a handfull of tracks that came with the game so everyone can enjoy and not worry about getting booted for not having content 
You can add mods but ive had a few problem so i just stuck with the base
Cars
WTCC 06 & 07
WTCC 87
Mini
Formula BMW
Camaro cup
Radical
Chatham
and the majority of the 07 season tracks.
So test it out tell me if you can even get in lol and how the connection is....only thing iam not sure about is if the server will stay open when my computer goes to sleep?

Kurupt, programs do not stay running when your computer is in sleep mode. It suspends all activity until you 'wake' it up. You will want to change your power save settings to 'Always On'. You can leave the screen saver active, and/or turn the monitor off.
What sort of problems with mods are you having with the server? Did you know that the dedicated server is installed in a separate directory than Race07? On my system, its in a folder called "Race07ds". All the mods you want on the server have to be placed in that folder. If you dont see a "Gamedata" folder it will have to be created.
Okay on your server now no probs so far.
Not great 215...but we'll see what it is like on the day and time we will be racing...
Well that is true, not sure about the mini race, it's shopping day...yeah Knight has a real life too and a Mrs Knight who can't drive.
Just been into the server and everything was running smoothly. With all the cars out on track there was no sign of lag which is more than I can say about another game I use to play

Only because not so many people play it.
Fraid there is mate, I have had little to no lag on PC when I have been unable to online race in Forza, just saying :) See you later for track night, lets see if we can make it two out of two.

lol......I added the Clio mod to the server, on race day i will run the approriate cars.....clio mod can be found in the support series thread
