You should give it a try its free to try lvls 1-20.My favorite feature is you can actually take your class (warrior,mage,cleric,rogue) and pick and choose your skill trees to build for your play style,and have multiple specs that you can change at the touch of a button.
So Rift has gone completely free to play. They say you have complete access to the entire game, but I think there are limits on character slots and bag space unless you've previously purchased a copy of Rift or the expansion. It's a good game in you're into mmo's. I played at launch for a bit, I know others who played longer and said the raiding in Rift was great. Worth checking out or taking a look at again if you've played it before. They added a ton of stuff to the game. I might re-install just to take a peek, but don't plan to play again.

I've only heard good things about Rift. I may have to check this out at some point.
