So what were your opinions on what Square Enix showed?
So square showed all their upcoming announced games at E3, and looking at the list below, how do you feel? Are any of you excited/let down? Personally, these games, really excite me! Although, I really just want a Lost Odyssey 2 lol.
RPG List:
FFXIV:A Realm Reborn
FFXV, and Kingdom Hearts 3
FFXIII: Lightning Returns in 2014
FFX & X-2 HD
Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix(Includes Chain of Memories, Final Mix, and cutscenes from 358/2 Days, full trophy support, as well as added content like new enemies, weapons, abilities, and cutscenes)
Non-RPG(listed just cause I guess):
Murdered: Soul Suspect
Mini-Ninjas
Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director's Cut (Will have better graphics, overhauled boss battles, all DLC, redefined balance and combat, and improved A.I.)
I haven't played a FF game since FFXI. I think that series/devolper has lost it's magic for me. I probably just got older and it isn't appealing to me as much. :)
I just can't get into JRPG's anymore. For some reason, they all feel the same.
Kingdom Hearts is a maybe depending on system and if the kids are into it.
As for Deus Ex, already have it for 360 so i don't see the need to pick it up again.
I used to kinda feel that way about JRPGs, but since they've pretty much disappeared on the 360, I've been craving them badly. WRPGs like Skyrim, and all the LotR look alikes are just getting pretty old to me as well.
I just really want a next-gen turn-based RPG, like the old days. I miss them, and the plethora of shooting based games are just getting really, really stale. I love guns, but games just keep using the same reskinned Assualt Rifles, SMGs, and Shotguns. Magic just holds more possibilities to entertain me, I have Lost Odyssey, but that's pretty much it when it comes to the 360 and JRPGs. I just love JRPG stories as well, they're always some average person, who discovers how much of a badass they actually are. Aside from Lost Odyssey, Kaim was just a badass from the start.
The news from E3 was interetsting, but so many of those projects are so far out, there's no telling what they will be like when they actually arrive.
Betas of FFXIV are ongoing and the reviews from players are kind of mixed, so we will see if that catches fire or not.
I'll be interested in FFX as I purchased that when I got my backwards compatible PS3 but never played it. I wish Dragon Quest would make a relaunch on Sony or MS platforms as I really enjoyed VIII on the PS2.
