Status Update
I haven't been posting as often as I have started ramping up my mileage for my next Marathon in late February.
However, finally got through my initial run of Borderlands 2 last night and X-Men: Destiny last weekend.
What is everyone else up to?
Meself I have been playing a lot of Mechwarrior online. So nice to have something different to play even if it is still in the beta. The rest of my free time has been soaked up by a magor brush up on an old Pen and paper RPG I am gonna run an adventure in over skype, as well as write the adventure. I was gonna just take a pre-made adventure, but nothing gets ya researching the rules like trying to create your own adventure. Time sink is an understatement. I got a play through done with the mechromancer a few weeks back in Borderlands2, and I think I have her half way through the second play through on V2.0 or whatever they call it. Its been fun but its not really holding my interest when I got some other stuff to do.
Getting over the new X. Working a differant job now and I am spending considerably more time at the office.
Sorry to hear that, man. Hope things are smoothing out for you.
Don't be sorry. The new job is at the same company but it was a much better position.
It was a shame about the girl. She seemed on the ball at first but, unfortunatly, she was just a girl. Considerably younger than me and not old enough to be a member here.
Little to no gaming lately for me although I do have a LAN party this weekend where I will be playing Starcraft 2 and Borderlands 2.
Most of my free time has involved me trying to hit 50,000 words in November as part of the Nanowrimo.org event (National Novel Writing Month). I've also been reading the Mistborn Trilogy by Brandon Sanderson which is just awesome :)
Just returned to civilization, litterally. Back from a mission trip to Nicaragua.
For the price of a video game, I can feed a kid for a year. It kind of puts things in a different light for me.
I'm revisiting the priorities of my life.
Does this mean no more binge drinking and "these f'ing trucker" jokes?
I drink for free and truckers are the scum of the earth second only to 8th graders.
Just prioritizing my spending.
^^ awesome!
Cool beans amigo! Good to hear from you.
Finally almost finished with Drgon Age Origins, got invited to the annual score competition on True Achievements and finished my first gaming pc build.
Man, I want to build a PC. I am keeping my eyes open for any spare parts. I figure if I fork over 200 a month through June, this PC will be the cats meow.
I went to thi site http://www.build-gaming-computers.com/ and it was done.
Thats a damn good site! I owe you a beer!
Watch it, I might hold you to that. :) I was impressed also, sometimes you actually find what your looking for when you Goole it. I did one of there budget builds.
i want to learn ho to build a PC too! WIll have to read it this weekend and start investing in parts...
No problem, Opposer! Let me know if you come around. :)
Ice, I think getting a part or two every month is the ticket. 100-200 bucks a month is not a huge investment. Even what they are talking about for around $500 would not be too bad. There has got to be a place local to you that you may be able to get a couple used parts. A used case and optical drive would be dirt cheap. Saving a couple bucks here and there would pay in spades if you invested ibnto a better power supply, memory or GPU.
We should start a hardware thread. I feel bad for derailing the thread.
