Yea we did it once... never again. People lose all commen sense and decency when you can get a piece of shit flat panel for $98 at Wal-Mart, and Black Friday is almost... fuck that, is it's own holiday here. Give thanks on Thursday and greedy as fuck on Friday.
I'd rather pay the extra money than dealing with all those assholes. I think it's pretty shitty that some stores are opening on Thanksgiving too. Let the retailers have a day off so they may enjoy their family. Just my 2 cents.

Same. Unfortunately not enough people feel the same and will shop on Thursday so stores will continue to open sooner. Before you know it Black Friday will be on Thursday, it'll be a 2 day event, and stores will stay open longer on those two days.

While I don't care to get involved in Black Friday or the Thanksgiving sales, I know plenty that do. My wife and kids like to go out shopping Thanksgiving evening together. As long as I don't have to go, I am fine with it. As for retailers, my son-in-law works for a major retailer and is happy to work as many extra hours as he can this time of year.
I go out every year, and every year i say it'll be my last. Thing is, i've been doing it so long. it just seems to be as much a part of my holiday as turkey dinner :) I went out on black thursday this year, got one of the big screen TV's at Walmart. In terms of pain in the ass factor, I have to say it was one of the most pleasant black friday sales i've attended. Our store is open 24h though so people started trickling in around 4pm. They loaded up their stuff and then at 6pm they could check out . if yo ugot some of the big ticket items, they gave a bracelet out 2h ahead of time which held your spot in line, then you could go shop or take off and come back at 6 and get your item. Very well run, very well thought out.
As a side note, they had 10 xbox ONEs and 7 PS4s in stock to sell.
Only in America do you give thanks for the things you have on one day and line up outside stores for super sales the next LoL...
Since I have to work, my wife will be going out on Thursday night to get GTAV from Walmart for $36 for me.
They better be giving away a house at the beach, date with a super model and a new ferrari to make me stand in a line like that.
