Can't remember how to post signature

So for my signature I was using one of those generated signatures from lusogamer. It's been so long since I did the original one that I have fogotten how to add it. So I have the generated code in either a BBCode or HTML, whichever I want. But when I go to add it to the Signature field, it always shows up as a link or it's written out. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Please advise which tags I need to put on the signature to get it to actually show up correctly.
