Game Divisions
I see where there are different divisions for game series (Halo, Gears, etc). How does it get decided which games get divisions? Reason I ask is that I would like to see one for Mass Effect series and Borderlands. Both of those games have (or will have) more than one installment and strong fanbases. I imagine Borderlands 2 will really start to heat up when it gets closer to release.
Divisions are based off a couple things.
First and most important is having a leader (or leaders) that will not only moderate the forum, but help it grow. We look for members interested in building our community within that game and creating ways to attract new members as well as creating ways for members to get together. Have a look at the Divisions tab on the home page to get an idea of what this means.
Second is obviously the amount of interest in a game and how large the multiplayer aspect of that game is. We don't generally want Divisions for single player games as they tend to have no need for events etc. Those games can still get their own forums within their Genre.
Yeah that makes sense. In looking at the existing divisions, those games are more Multiplayer centric whereas ME and Borderlands are more coop. ME has its own subforum and that has been working well. Maybe Borderlands could get a subforum as well? Under Role Playing or FPS (it is really a hybrid). Right now there are several discussions going on in different places and it would be good to consolidate in one place. I can see it being a big deal when it releases.
Thanks for maintaining the site! It has really made video gaming so much more fun!
I'm an idiot for not haveing borderlands up sooner. I'll get that set up now.

I agree.
Don't be so hard on yourself, I'm sure you have plenty else to do! Seriously tho, thanks for making the changes. Much appreciated!
